The provisional 2010 MotoGP World Championship calendar has been revealed.

The 18-round line-up contains no real surprises, with the addition of new events at the Balatonring and Silverstone confirmed long ago.

The new Hungarian Grand Prix, delayed from this year, increases the present line-up by one round, while Silverstone replaces Donington Park as home of the British Grand Prix.

The season will once again start with the Qatar night race, on April 11, and end at Valencia on November 7.

Japan retains its second-round status from this year, before the European season once again starts at Jerez in Spain. The Portuguese Grand Prix will become the penultimate round, after the two flyaway events in Malaysia and Australia.

Interestingly, the new Motorland Aragon Circuit in Northern Spain is listed as a 'reserve circuit'.

early june for silverstone could be a boating event.
too early to get a dry race imo here in the uk

l think (hope) that early June could be ok weather wise for Silverstone. l think we have had some good weather in May/June the last few years but you never know in this country. It maybe an idea to try March/ April or November.

Dont know to much about the Balatonring other than its a new track and its got a name that sounds like a medical condition that a ... person would suffer from after a heavy session with his/her partner.

Provisonal 2010 MotoGP calendar:

June 6th Great Britain Silverstone

July 25th United States Laguna Seca

Glad to see they changed the dates. Going to Laguna on Independence day, as it was this year, really sucked. Attendance was down because most guys needed to stay at home with family. This is an improvement.

Ok, June 6th it is. Will start saving cans and bottles now. Who's coming with?

Never understood why they call this the GP of San Marino, the track is not inside the borders of San Marino. True, it's "nearby" but really its just another GP in Italy.

Dude thats the weekend of my Birthday (June 4) KICK ...!!!!!! I know what i want for my Bday now! if I make it Im expecting a Kick ... Birth day party from my Mates out in the UK

It's worth booking the Silverstone race tickets now too, there's 20% off for early booking.

Anyone a bit worried about the fact Silverstone is flat as? Not sure if worth getting some kind of seating ticket? To my understanding, unless you get there ridiculously early so you get to front, or are 15 feet tall you'll be screwed for a view. Esp as it will prob be raining and all the umbrellas will be out.
