Never been to either so I wouldn't know. But one thing I do know is that Kevin Schwantz has history at Donnington Park, so I would vote to keep this round for the historical value.

Silverstone has historical value of roughly equal size, but its relatively poor for veiwing and the circuit clearly isn't as nice as Donnington park.

be a shame if donny gets dropped, silverstone is ok. come on dorna thruxton would be great seeing as its only 20 mins from me

fastest track in the country and no straights.

Would totally suck there are already to many cookie cutter tracks on the program already, Qatar being a perfect example. It just looks like Dorna is trying to ruin the MotoGp.

Not Thruxton - sucks for spectators. Only the top half of the circuit accessible, there's a grandstand and some nice viewing of the Club chicane, and some raised banking around Allard, but other than that the bikes'd charge off into the countryside out of sight. This also means that if you got the kind of attendance Donny gets, there'd be fights for a spot on the banking!

Speaking of tracks, there are talks going on over here about the selling of Estoril to the government or other interests (aka condo development complete with golf course) since the contract with motogp is up in 2009.
Rumour has it that the whole machine will move down to the new Algarve track, which of course might be great for the tourists but STINKS LIKE CRAP for the natives and of course not the mention one of the oldest capitol cities in all of Europe.
Somehow I'm not thinking that the track they are building is going to be half as great as the one we already have.
Dame I hate politics and special interests! Why can't they just leave a good thing be!

I think they should move it to brands hatch I have always like that track the most out of all the UK tracks. They could do some more safety stuff and it would be all set. Donnington really does suck. It is a ...... area if you are not on the track especially if its wet and the riders only like it if it is dry otherwise its a huge slip and slide, remember the 125 and 250 races from last year? My votes for brands. I do not know about spectating their but it cannot be worse then Laguna where you can see some turns but impossible to see even half the track although it is awsome to be a spectator at the corkscrew even though the hike up their is like climbing everest.

i'm not surprised that dorna are looking at moving the gp from donington.firstly the facilities are second rate for the teams.for the fans also which i personally had issues with donington park.the
people that own and run the track get by keeping the gp because the layout of the track is superb apart from the melbourne loop which is a joke.this is probably a kick up the arse for the owners of donington to do something about the circuit or else we will look to move elsewhere.silverstone has better facilities but the track has been totally spoiled over the years.i used to go to the gp every year in the time before it moved to donington when it was a real speed track but sadly that is no longer the case.bottom line is that if donington and its owners don't get spending the money on upgrading the circuit then they well lose the gp.what agreat shame, but i have to say its been coming for some time.do they care.well in the correspondence that i have had with the new owners about last years gp i'd have to say no.they don't.one of the things that saddens me most is that barry sheene one of the people most responsible for getting the gp moved from silverstone in the first place will be turning in his grave at the thought of it going back to silverstone.r.i.p. barry.

sure it need's a few quid spending here and there. diamonds are rough until you polish them !

Should go to Brands, if they can sort the woodland section out by moving the barriers back. I would say Cadwell but we all know thats never going to happen.

I wouldn't expect Brands to be an option, the run-offs aren't very big anywhere, and on the indy part of the track they are nearly impossible to increase without removing the already small paddock.

it's also flat and boring. f1 should keep silverstone and motogp should stay at donny.

They did mention it at the gp last year - said that if we invaded the track then donni would lose the race - everyone invaded the track!

Be sad to lose it as Im a local girl (and was handy to nip home last year when got soaked and sunburnt) but the facilties were useless on the campsite and they do need to update.

Hopefully this will give them the push to do it and keep the gp!

it is handy for us crazyl8dy who live just up the road.the track is brilliant but they don't want to upgrade the facilities for the race teams or the punters.the facilities on the campsites are third world.
as far as invading the track goes i don't think this should be an issue once the racing is over.at mugello
they use the police with dogs to try to prevent a track invasion every year but the fans still invade and i don't hear dorna or ferrari who own mugello complain.there cannot be another country in the western hemisphere that has as many rules and regulations as the uk.bottom line in this country is your not supposed to enjoy yourself.the authorities treat all sports fans like football fans.they think that if you
invade the track or play loud music on the campsite that it will end up in a mass brawl.take a look at the security employed at the campsites at donington.combat trousers and jack boots?whats that all about.

i don´t like it when Moto-GP is becoming more and more eqaul with Formula 1 circuits
