Pedrosa to reveal MotoGP future @ Sachsenring

The only way he is staying in MotoGP is if between now and his announcement, they announce the rumored Petronas-Yamaha team. They aren't going to let Pedrosa make an announcement that he is going to ride before they've even announced the team officially. This is retirement, and probably long overdue since he has looked progressively worse every season since Casey Stoner retired. Never as a Pedrosa fan. Blindingly fast on his day, but I look at riders like that as being one dimensional in that they need everything to come together perfectly for them to win a grand prix. Denying Zarco at Valencia last year is likely to be as fitting a final victory for him as you could pick. Unless he somehow figures out a way to win a race between Sachsenring and Valencia. His showing at the Dutch TT was ghastly, and that probably has a lot to do with it. He can't come to terms with the Michelin tires at all, and I don't think jumping on a Yamaha would solve that problem. Him riding a Yamaha is more of a nice fantasy idea but you still have to turn the tires on, and he may finally be realizing he can't actually do that.

I like Dani and I really want this whole Petronas team to happen because, even if it's for one season, I'd love to see what he can do on another good bike.
Having said that, he needs to pull his finger out because not only is this suspense doing my nut in, it is clearly messing with his racing too.

New rumor is Pedrosa and the SIC team could not come to terms on money and he will retire, with Quartararo teaming with Morbidelli for 19 . Supposedly Quartararo’s stock has skyrocketed with his form of late and the fact that he is doing it on the Speed Up is impressing everyone in the paddock.

Article on crash suggesting the sticking point for Pedro is whether or not he gets a 2019 M1.

Wonder if rossi has vetoed it?

.... that is a loose assumption.

I can’t see Rossi being concerned with Dani being on an M1. At best he’d be taking a good while to get accustomed to it, and I don’t imagine anyone really thinks Dani would be a threat to Rossi. Rossi would (if at all) be more concerned with another hot young up and comer.

Yes but the speculation/reporting on crash is that Dani wants a 2019 M1 ..... I would think Aspar asking for 2 is a stretch way too far, especially since they have recently dumped Tech 3.

Well, regardless of who is going to be on the bike, I'm glad that there will be 4 yamahas on the grid. It would be nice to see Dani on it, but a rejuvenated and hungry Quatararo could be a sight to see.

I have followed Quatararo’s career since the early days. The dip notwithstanding, that kid is something special. The Speedup chassis is notoriously difficult to tame and very few people have done so (MM comes to mind) and this kid is making it do things it hasn’t done in quite some time. I would love to see him in MotoGP next year.

No mention of Quatararo .... is he an option at SIC/Aspar if Dani doesnt go there?

I don't know what the general vibe towards Bautista is on here, but he has had 3 top 10s on the bounce (I know the start to the season has been a bit sub-standard) and his previous seasons have been alright. I'd like it if he could stay in the paddock, if not then I don't know if he will have a ride. Moto 2 maybe?

Think MM was on a Suter MMX.
