Pedrosa heads home early

Now that is a truism!

Also, some knowledgeable people (re motogp) do like/respect Hayden. I am one.

You can't get to me with nit picking. My grandfather had a phd in english and I tolerated that .... from him after every sentence. He was excellent at language but everything else...not so good. Well fighting a couple of world wars and that sort of thing...pretty good at that also.

So, if you prefer it this way: All things equal, Hayden is a top five potential finisher in my opinion. What more can you ask for? See? Asking that question is where I got into trouble the first time. Ya, I really don't care to know. Maybe tommorrow...long day.

Good for Hayden!!!!!

Can we get back on topic Roger PHD?

Reading this, I thought it a good contrast between the Spaniards. Jorge continues to win me over.

I thought the following quotes were particularly interesting.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Nonetheless, while a number of riders have come out in criticism of Michelin, Lorenzo was relatively philosophical about the situation and has vowed to do all he can to get back to competitiveness.

“I know that we have had had problems this weekend but I know that Michelin are working very hard, so now we will try to use the test to make some improvements.”

Now contrast this with Peder's reaction, and we begin to see the difference in professionalism and maturity of these to compatriots.

(Any comments Teo?)

yeah and how about this bit.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>An exceptionally tough weekend for the young Spaniard as he continues to recover from his injury, Lorenzo had to get a special permission to even compete after tyre woes prevented him from qualifying inside the necessary time.
unlike pedro the boy is a fighter and i like that in a racer. since lorenzos 250 days ive done a complete 180 on him

I think quite a few people have, I really disliked his arrogant 250 stunts, but since moving up he's shown himself in a different light; tough, honest and fairly humble about his mistakes and fears, and willing to learn throgh hard work.
Compare that to Pedrosa, who doesn't seem happy unless everything is handed to him on a plate.

Nitpicker not phd. Don't get a swelled head. You missed the point of the post entirely which was that looking at Hayden with a balanced view instead of just picking the bad and proposing he is all bad or picking the all good about what he has done and running with that. He is a decent top 5 rider all things considered.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>"Today was a day mainly focused on research for a better performance from our rubber. We have noted some progress but this is still not enough. We expect Michelin to work intensively to achieve the results we expect for the next race," warned the Italian.

The fastest Michelin rider on Monday was Tech 3 Yamaha's Colin Edwards, who appeared to make significant progress by setting the sixth fastest lap time, but Dovizioso wasn't impressed.

"Colin Edwards has got a good lap time, but only for three laps, which is not significant enough for us to draw any conclusions," he said. "We stayed out even longer to assess the durability of the tyres, in addition to grip. We were able also to do tests on electronics.

Dude I mean really no offence but you really not all that together. Let's see. Nicky Hayden can say he is a Moto GP champion and Shitya can say ??????? yeah ok. THat is what I thought.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Jorge Lorenzo believes Michelin have turned a corner in discovering why they have fallen so dramatically off the pace of their rivals Bridgestone in recent races following two days of testing in the Czech Republic.

While rival Dani Pedrosa decided to curtail his test after a frustrating weekend of racing in Brno, Lorenzo chose to stay and work with Michelin in a bid to work through the issues currently facing the French tyre manufacturer.

Thanks Jorge. No thanks Dani. (Then you wonder why people question your heart and character).

Me too. The guy not only takes care of the fans (even though you had that ridiculously loud VR shirt on he still gave you a high-five); but on top of that he soldiers on through injury and disappointment and stays positive. Now that is somebody I can respect.

The real reason Pedrosa left early:
HE DOESN"T WANT TO TEST THE PNUEMATIC VALVE BIKE!
If he begins riding it, the satelite teams will demand it for 2009. If other teams have the same new bike, he becomes less competitive.
