Paddock Passes at Sepang

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at heading to Sepang this year and want to get paddock passes. I was at Laguna Seca last year and the paddock passes were an extra $50, but the ones I have found at Sepang are very corporate and include free-flow champagne in an aircon room above the pits etc for about $1000. I don't really want all that, I just want to be able to walk around the paddock! Has anyone bought paddock passes for Sepang before? Is there a cheap option?

Cheers,
Zoe

Go see some 125cc teams and offer them about 250 euros for a weekend team guest pass.
Laguna is the exception at $50

Excuse my ignorance, but are you taking the piss? Would a team offer you a guest pass for the weekend for that money? I'd take that over an aircon room over the pits any day....

I have done it a few times,
The 125/moto2 privateer teams can use as much money as they can find.
They are each issued 2 guest passes per races.
500 euros (for a pair of guest passes) buys tires for the weekend.
Kind of being a sponsor for the race.

Gotta find the right mechanic/team member, even a team cook to talk to.
