Assuming he would like to reup with Honda, which at this point is debatable considering his teammate and the turd bike itself. What would he have to do in Honda's eyes,or what would Honda have to do in his eyes to stay together. Is it beat Pedrosa, win the title, beat all the Honda's,finish in top 3.Lets reverse that and say Nicky has a solid year,2-3 wins and finishes in the top 3 and Honda really wants him back. What would be some of his demands or would he just say .... it and go to whoever pays the most like Hopper did.

If Hayden gets a win or few, and beats Dani, he will return with Dani on the hot seat, but if he has another 2007, he will move to another squad.

I think he'd want to be number one. The bike is built for him. He'd have to have a teammate who can develope a bike as Nicky has said he is not the rider who can do that. He'd have to be able to win a championship.

Places where Nicky could go in 2009 on a factory bike: Rizzla Suzuki, Monster Kawasaki. Those would be the best bets, but Spies is in the running for a Suzuki ride in 2009.

Can`t seriously see Honda getting it wrong in `09,they`ll come out guns blazing and maybe another championship for Nicky.

Honda have got it wrong since Rossi left (except for 06) which they didn't really dominate either.

They also are not willing to change a team that is not working.

They have to get it right surely for the sales of the road bikes and GP machines but like yu said its not been good `cept for Nickys trophy.

Yeah it would be pretty disgusting.

its not the engineers getting it wrong. they dont ride bikes. they require the rider to tell them what they want.

its really a 50/50 resposibility between the rider and the engineers to improve the bike

Nicky will be lucky to end up in top 10....and eitherway Dovi will be getting Nicky's seat in '09....so Nicky can either go back to AMA or take a 3rd rate Honda Ride in GPs

Why so bitter so early in the season?

Your guy could still finish in top 10, and he may even get on the podium once this year...

Nicky will get set free at the end of this season, and it will in his best interest to leave Honda...

Since Rossi left they have been either 1st or 2nd in the world title, thats not bad if you ask me. They obviously got 2007 wrong but i don't think it'll long before a 2nd rate Honda is better than a factory bike from Kawasaki or Suzuki, just like it used to be

Absolutely. I think he would match the ducati very well, and so far it looks like marco needs a honda.

Marco is on a 2 year deal with Ducati and Hayden is on his last year of a 2 year deal with Repsol...so Nicky has to wander the wilderness for a year before he can get big red seat....unless he wants Sylvains ride on 09

as some one on eurosport said, honda won 5 championships with Rossi on board, they have only won 7 races in 2006 and 2007 put together. think that says something for both Rossi and Honda....

Remember this statistic is just Repsol Honda. In 04 and 05 Gresini honda were multiple race winners and championship contenders and in 2006 repsol Honda were the strongest team on the grid. I think the trouble Honda are beggining to have now is rider related though.
