So, it sounds like Nakano really is on his way back to Kawasaki. SWEET! Can't wait.

Montiron is saying that he'd like to sign Dovisioso for next season. I guess I always pictured Dovi moving into one of the higher level teams. Gresini maybe?

That article is old news, Rea to MotoGP? Pffft, that was NEVER going to happen for next year..

DeAngelis is most likely to move to Gresini.. The possible kawasaki news sucks for Ant; just because of Shinya's nationality, he might get another chance that he willingly threw away in the first place... Hope they run three bikes in 08 so West can expose Nakano and give Hopper a run for his money..

"Expose Nakano". You're kidding right? Nakano will smoke them both buddy.

This is what I wrote on another thread and it applies here:

"Look at Nakano, he's clearly struggling with the piece of $hit Konica Honda but when Rossi was asked awhile back which riders he admired in the (then) current motogp crop he mentioned Nakano and Capirossi amongst others. If one of the all time greats who races these guys week in and week out rates them highly, then I'd rather listen to him instead of some of the drivel written on this board."

I was disappointed when Nakano left Kawasaki, I feel he would have had more podiums if he had stayed with them. Hopefully next year he'll do well, and if West can get a third seat that will all seem fair to me. 'The balance will be restored'.

Heck yeah. Couldn't have said it better. And West can hightail it back to WSS or WSBK for all I'm concerned.

That sucks. Bad news for Hayden. I guess Pedrobot won't get quite that raise he wanted.

Yeah, Pedrosa to Kawasaki is a pipe dream I think. He's only doing it so he can sign the 1 year extension instead of a 2 year contract.

Hopkins/Nakano will be a dream team.

Nakano should look closely at his contract it's probably 1m yen not euros.

I expect similar results from Nakano as any other year in MotoGP, odd flashes of speed here and there but a championship finish around 7th or 8th.

Nothing to get too excited about really, I was hoping they'd get someone else.

Not exactly sure why Kawasaki would bring Nakano back. As has been said he's been a long time Kawi MotoGP guy but he's never been consistent. Why not take a guy who is younger and has more potential in West?

exactly! thank you Austin, i was beggining to think i was the only reasonably sane person on this forum..

Don't make me out to be a saint here Antfan. I mean Nakano does have some history at Kawi, he's the most talented Japanese rider in the series and is an all-around likeable guy. What he may lack in potential in comparison to West, he makes up in sentimental value and marketability for Kawasaki.

Personally I would like to see the three man lineup with Hopkins, Nakano and Westy.
