well, they may look similar, but the rs 125 clearly has the same chassis and main components as the older model. The Derbi has a straigther, and unpolished chassis, a straight swingarm and a yamaha Dt125 engine.

Checked with the lads at the Derbi stand today and found out that i was correct, the Derbi GPR 125 is not the same as the Aprilia RS at all. However the 50cc models are identical and apparently built in the same factory, so perhaps that was what what you meant rgvneil.

I remember the Derbi stand from last year, got invited to meet up by their rep but when I arrived he'd gone for a 2 hour lunch....
Yep I remember the 50s are the same as I had 1 of each in last week, it seems I was wrong about the 125. I'll get some shots next time one comes in but won't post as I'm not that bothered.

Kool man, i'm not fussed either way.

I wish there were more small sport bikes (250-500cc) available here in the states. I bet the Ninja 250 and 500 are real fun in the corners, but they don't look so good. Everyone here is concerned with big bikes; the macho jerks are afraid of being called ....... if they don't ride a litre bike. I would kill for a 250 that had sexy bodywork like the RS 125. Oh well, Kawasaki re-styled the KLR, maybe the little Ninjas are next? I sure hope so...
