How can you even ask a question like that? That's like asking will Rossi go to HRC mid season?!?!? .... NO, NOW GET THE .... OUT! Do you even know anything about MotoGP? I feed you to the Dogs!

Wow. Noodle. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (convertmel @ Mar 13 2008, 07:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>how long before nicky is moved to a "B" team ?
first off, let me say i'm a great admirer of NH and thought it was a breath of fresh air when he beat Rossi to the title..................
but, oh dear, nothing since , partly , in my opinion, 'cos big hH have staked their rep on pedro ( honda might sell more in the states but spain is, i'd guess , more suseptable to "buyer power " by local sucess ).
i'm thinking back to world sbks a few years ago, one of the Bostroms couldnt buy a point, move him the a duke "b " squad and away he went, he thrived on the freedom from pressure that a sat team meant.........................
anyone think nicky could be the same (its fairly obvious hes not gonna stay with repsol i'd say )
i'll duck down behind the bulletproof glass about now ...........

Dude,
Nicky is already on a satellite team.

He gets parts much later down the line than the "Factory Rider".
The bike is pretty much not developed for him. He has to just ride what he has.

The best part thing that he has right now is that he gets the good tyres and he is second in line for the upgrade parts.

Essentially he is CEII on the Honda. But he is not laying down and taking the backseat position that Edwards was risigned to have.

Other than being on the Ducati, This is the best ride that he could possibly have in Motogp.

Let's see, where would he go.
Fact.Kawak- Nope - The bike sucks.
Fact.Suzuki- Nope - The bike is better but still has problems (still kinda sucks_)
Satellite Duke- Interesting but not a place for World champions.
Factory Duke - He should be here but Ducati wants an Italian on a Italian bike.
Honda wants a Spanish Rider on a Spanish sponsored team.

Hayden should sit where he is or Come on to WSBK!

C'mon guys perfectly decent topic that I do not wish to throw in the trash can, personal flaming is not on. Thanks.

Noodledick,

If that is your sense of humour then I am even more embarrassed for you then I was before.

Probably not, but given the behaviour and language of various and certain members recent posts to or about other members.... It is hardly surprising....

I wouldn't expect a mid season move but if his performance doesn't get better i think a downgrade would be the right move. Unless he goes to Yamaha and takes on Lorenzo next year i think a second level Honda will be the best choice by far.

hey noodle.
do i know anything about moto gp?
well, i must confess to knowing more about 500 gps, having been watching them since phil read defend his title in 75,
i've only been a fan of moto gps since 02

and it was an honest question, just wondering if (like bostrom ) he would do better in a different environment with differing pressures.................
still, if you are just content with the same old questions and answers from the same posters..
well, thats your choice i guess.......
i'd say i probably know more about manners than you too

I was thinking maybe Nicky would go to Suzuki. I don't think he would make the bucks he gets now. CV having to tough out another year of perpetually late development may take a Yamaha ride if it is available rather than test instead of race. I wonder if Marco regrets not taking the Suzuki seat?

Early indications would seem to be that despite hopeful signs last year suzuki and even more so kawasaki may not have the money to be competitive in dorna's brilliant low cost 800cc formula.
Getting some talented american riders and some american sponsorship might be the way forward; the suzuki teams don't seem short of resources in ama superbikes.

Great post.

I but I think the person convertmel makes a great point. Look what its done for Colin Edwards so far. It seem being free from the grip of a teammate that is gonna get all the good stuff on account of you testing the ........ might be an improvement for Nicky's career.

I don't think it is a money thing. I really think Suzuki keeps trying to push the envelope technically instead of making a championship winning bike. They keep experimenting and they never seem to tie the package up into a great race winning machine. Their early 4 stroke bike was fly by wire and coated with electronics. When that didn't work out they just lost interest for several years. The team developed the chassis only with the help of Erv K. and since then they have never had the engine to match the frame. Now they have a new engine and the weight distribution and frame are new and not working. Capirossi stated that they know the bike is unbalanced and that is a hard thing to change overnight. I hope that with the next little break they can move some stuff around and get the handling back. It looked like Capirossi was steering a transport truck in the last race. They just always seem to miss the mark year after year in this series.
