I'm happy MotoGT is a goner, but the SBK purses have been slashed to nil. I wonder if DMG are planning on killing the 1000s by hook or by crook. Can't blame them really since the manufacturers demanded them, but they refuse to support them. Even so, if they lose 1000s are they going to run three 600cc classes? Suzuki 750 FX class complete with old-school chassis prototyping modifications?

The better question is, how long before somebody makes a legit alternate series. DMG are irrelevant.

I think we should be asking how long until the manufacturers use their advertising budgets to put WSBK on the air.

Why would they bother starting a new series? They weren't happy with the money they were spending in the old AMA, it ain't gonna get any cheaper if they start their own game.
