<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Dazza @ Aug 19 2005, 04:35 AM)<div class='quotemain'>Ive been a long time fan of F1 since the mid 80's where the likes of Mansall, Prost Senna, Rosberg & Co were racing the hweels off the things.

That was real racing back then..

Today its a pure gravy train and all about the money.
Drivers are way too overpaid and should be on a points = bonus system like our own David Coulthard is on and he hasnt done badly.

I like Jenson but he needs to knuckle down more if he wants to be a world champ one day...its all about the dedication.
Race wise it has become boring to a degree as mentioned earlier race wins are either from far superior cars ie Mclaren, Renault, or in the pits..

MotoGP wins hands down, it has its characters also, but overtaking is frequent the races are shorter, it is still very technical like F1 and a team sport.

Where will F1 be in 5 years when most tracks will not allow tobacco sponsership?

Who knows but the FIA & Bernie need to act fast.
