Brands is essentially cornered into its current layout by its surroundings. so run-offs are almost impossible to increase. Turn one backs onto the paddock, turn two onto the GP loop of the track, turn 3 into the pitlane, and the back end of the GP circuit is practically in a housing estate. To get any safetey upgrades they would almost certainly have to spend millions butchering the track.

That was about money rather than safetey, but i agree that GP seems to have higher safetey standards.
