Pretty average race IMO but who would have thought an all Italian podium???

Shinya was unlucky but he had to go for it, and for once Sete had a bit of luck on his side otherwise he would have been lying in the dust also.

Good ride from Tony Elias, not so good from the crashy twins, Stoner & De Puniet.

I await the hate....
(Hey that rhymes!)No hate here, I just don't want an average joe winning the title(unlikely now) & average is NH all over!

Anyone seen the post race Hayden interview?

That guy is both frustrated and very pressured.
Hardly seen anone so frustrated except P. Solberg in Rally. Difference is that Solberg can easily point out the problems, Hayden hardly can.

What surpriced me a little was how he described riding in the pack, really wild, paint scratching and every thing. Gosh!

I'm just not happy seeing someone lead the championship when they can't even finish on the podium, so far, since the summer break.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way! I've never been a big fan of Hayden, you can find that in my old posts from last season lol. Rossi will win it. Hayden doesn't have the form at Estoril and at Valencia he has a quick pace but Rossi has a MUCH faster one.

Whattup guys....I don't know, I like Nicky, but he's been running on pure luck this season....his post race interview shows NO confidence in himself...I think he started to believe his own hype a bit after Laguna and lost focus.....the difference between Rossi and Hayden is charisma, raw talent but most important....Rossi doesn't EVER pressure himself, he's always havin fun....Its kind of like the difference between a paid mercenary and a soldier fighting for his beliefs.....the winner will never be the man motivated by money.
Also, NH got 5th but really he rode to 7th in my eyes, stoner and nakano both flopped gifting him another two places.....
I am pumped for Capirossi though...if it weren't for Rossi's bike and Capirossi's injuries....Hayden would be 3rd or 4th at best.....imo

Just to add to that,

How things could have been different in the standings if Marco and Loris had not been involved in that unfortunate incident at Barcelona, and Loris only managing 15th for a point at Assen the following weekend, I would assume Loris would be the championship leader????? and if the Yam had been ship shape from the start of the season Rossi for sure would up there.

Scuse the what if, but I believe if things were different we would have seen a much tighter leaderboard consisting of MM, Loris & Rossi leading the way with just a handful of points to seperate them with NH back in 4th.

just my 2 cents, i guess we can always be saying what if? ... but the truth is ... its racing, .... happens, or as troy herfoss puts it "cash or crash, baby!"....

the reality is that rossi has had probably his worst season ever, barcelona played host to one of the most spectacular crashes we've seen and a very destructive one at that and consequently nicky hayden is leading the points championship with two races left .... and its all totalling up to be one of the most awesome ends to season we've seen in a long time, right down to the wire.

makes you begin to wonder what's in store for us next year ...

I hope Nicky comes back strong for the last 2 race's - I really want to see a champion be a champion. However with Rossi's run of form he is going to take the title.

And Loris
<
to stuff them all and win the next 2 races. The last race of the year I believe Dani will be very stronge - Knee injury fixed.

One question is if Dani is beating Nicky on the track will Dani give way!!!!!

Rossi has 5 wins, Marco Melandri and Loris Capirossi have 3 wins...Nicky
Hayden and Dani Pedrosa have 2.
For Hayden was a season of consistency, keep safe, keep the bike on track... and a season without any major unluck....like Rossi, Capirossi, Melandri and Pedrosa.

Hopefully will be disputed until the last lap at valencia...

I would have love IF Capirossi wouldn't have got injured and IF Rossi wouldn't had so much bad luck ( he was hit by Sete's curse or voodoo) !! Plus without Melandri and Pedosa injury's then would have been even a more exciting season, more disputed then now but still is a very very good season...so far.. what can next season bring to the mix... new bikes, new teams, maybe new riders .... can't wait

But it's racing.. and IF isn't a part of it.....too bad..

p.s. Pedrosa will beat Hayden if he's fit... at least at Valencia...

Nicks done....

Boring race for the most part...but it Motegi, what would you expect. that track sucks...

oh god 3 weeks till the next one.

i think that if/when rossi wins the championship, they should play 'mama said knock you out' by LL Cool J.

that would be hard.

lyrics and the music would be proper.

exactly! if hayden had of crashed then we could now be saying 'oh if hayden hadnt of crashed he would win for sure because of his early season form'.

the championship table will tell us who is the best rider over the whole season when the race finishes in valencia!! and i for one cant wait!

I wouldn't be too harsh on Nicky. Leave him alone, haven't you seen his father's mega-ring when the camera caught him praying? Gosh, is that what they do in Kentucky? No r&b or hip-hop bling-bling could beat that!

Nakano did what he should: risk his race for a 4th position. Bravo! Do you guys know any rumor about his fate in 07? Can someone answer this question: is the Kwasaki a donkey painted in green?

Rumors have him linking up with Konica Minolta Honda with Bridgestones.... Others say he is still talking to Kawasaki. We will have to wait and see....
