haha stoner for hoffmann??? am I understanding this correctly: you want to change stoner for hoffman, so that hoffman will be your second rider, only because it's hoffmans home-gp??

i'd keep stoner too!! no chance would i swap him for hoffman!!

Hoffmann on a top bike, on his home track? Its not like Ellison at Donington, because Hoffmann is on a great bike.

you mean on the duc IR? I don't think he will do that great, you got to see this whole thing in a bigger perspective: maybe if HM has a good day he can finish in the top 7-15, but you got to keep in mind that if stoner has a BAD day he finishes in the top 7-15, think of the days that stoner has a good day
<
<
when hoffmann get's his own ride back, you're stuck with a 10-20 place rider...

but that's just my opinion, you can do what ever you want with your team
<

And keep in mind you only get point and money for the top 8 positions. Hate to admit it but I think Crashey is a better choice here.

By the way Mari, if Stoner has a bad day he finishes in the kitty litter

Ahhh, but you don't get points if Elias finishes 15th, it is top 8 finishers ONLY, read the small print. Stoner is as good as Melandri.

What, for Team points? Surely team points is, by definition, the teams that get the most points in the GP?

EDIT:
http://www.motogpforum.com/forum/index.php...indpost&p=20594
Look here.
Casey Stoner 4th
John Hopkins 6th
Chris Vermeulen out of the top 8.

Team points:
3rd most points --> Rizla Suzuki (16 WCP)
4th most points --> Honda LCR (13 WCP)

How does that add up? Add Vermeulens total and that becomes logical.

Hey Ben,
Thanks for the super quick update!!! I popped on Monday morning to a pleasant surprise.

Somehow I am leading the pack right now, that's pretty exciting..

Clarification on Points scoring:

Points for individual riders are upto 8th place only

Team points are WCP total scored for the team.

I know its a bit weird with the 8 riders scoring, but it was originally coded for an F1 fantasy league, hence 8 riders not 16 (or 15 - cant remember). It was too late to get the script changed and tested before Jerez!

All points scoring are taken from motogp.com PDF results

Ok, changes for my team:
I might change Stoner for Edwards just for Laguna Seca, or I could wait a while longer, probably after Laguna Seca and then change Suzuki with Repsol Honda.

I just changed marco to vale... hopefully a good decission!!
<
going to change stoner for hayden after sachsenring

Vale and Nicky? That's a powerful combo Marijke, should get you a lot of points and money.

I want to get a 2nd rider, but right now I've got no money!

Opinions peoples?

Marijke, thats a solid team, especially coming up to Laguna Seca.

edwards might be riding better then stoner in laguna, but in the over all season I think stoner will be the better man to have in your team. he seems to be consistent in the gp, always 4th/5th. if I were you, I would try to get a bit of rossi in your team. you already have nicky hayden. I always think spreading your chances to as much options is better then betting it all on one. so I would choose the Yamaha as your engine, since you don't have one. or I would choose yamaha as your team. yam will do better then suzuki I think and so will repsol.

repsol is also a very good choice, if hayden falls out then you still get points with dani.

Problem with engine is, I'm about twenty five million or so short of a decent engine. I made a mistake and took the $19 million or so "not racing", the cheaper one. I could be saving up until the end of the season just for an engine.
What I was considering was changing Stoner for Edwards, then after Laguna Seca changing back. I'd lose a bit of cash, but not too much. Then wait a while and get Repsol Honda.

if you can manage it with your money you could give it a go. stoner has never been at laguna, so he might not be doing as well as edwards would. then it's a smart thing to do to get edwards. but like you said, I would change it back!

you still have 17 mil extra is you swap engines. it's only a 10% release fee. so that shouldn't be a problem...
