Kropotkin pointed out that Michael Czysz of MotoCzysz blogged that he is very interested in fielding a bike when MotoGP returns to 1000cc capacity in 2012. Czysz says that the specs of the powerplant used in his C1 prototype are very similar to what's been laid out by the grand prix committee. Check out Kropotkin's take here.

I think that's fantastic news. I followed some of the documentaries on the MotoCzysz project and I'm not sure how close they really were to having anything ready for MotoGP by the time the rules changed. Regardless, it's great to have a project like this trying to get back into the sport. I'm sure this is exactly what Dorna have been hoping for. Now, who else is going to join?

great news i think anyone would welcome more bikes on the grid, cheers for the heads up austin

If you haven't already go watch Birth of a Racer. The C1 is extremely innovative. From the motor to the clutch, the front forks, wow. I can't stress enough that with the proper budget this guy has a machine that will turn heads. Test rider Jeremy Mcwilliams said it was the most incredible bike he has ever ridden, he also said that you coiuldn'y say it is a motorcycle because you don't fight it to turn. That could be it right there if michael can get it in the series.
