Most impressive lap of the island?

For me it has to be Michael Dunlops 2013 Superstock lap, he did a 131.1 on a stock Fireblade to see off Kawasaki mounted Gary Johnson and bear in mind at that time only McGuinness, Hutchy, Martin and Cummins had gone quicker and they were on full on Superbikes. :D

Foggy and Hislop in the 1992 Senior TT. I think Foggy set a laptime of 123mph which stood for 7 years trying to catch Hislop on the last lap. more impressive though was Hislop winning on the underfunded Norton.

I think the 92 Senior shows how good those two were on such bikes, I remember when DJ did the first 125 and everyone was going mad and he just went "Wasn't as good as Fogarty's lap, the bike had plenty in reserve"

Yeah that OW01 shaking all over the place was a sight to behold, apparently it was absolutely knackered by the end of that race.

This.
Just remember several of corners have been straightened (don't make me name them...) 1992 was still the "old" course.

Were the changes due to the modern superbike being too powerful for the old course? I know a few road races in Ireland were limited to only 600cc machines for the same reason.

My lap 2015 on the bus. I'm amazed that driver got us round in one piece. He must have been trying to beat his record..

I echo the 1992 senior tho.

I'll tell you what when you see the footage of John McGuinness doing a 132.7 in last years Senior TT I've never seen John that aggressive before.

I have to look up the corners that received significant changes. I've heard opinion that they (IoM) did it to allow for faster lap times...impresses the punters...but it's just as likely to be down to usual road upgrades.

Not a single lap but I think Fogarty's Senior TT win in 1990 is very impressive, very dodgy conditions and a very strong field.
