He talks about owning an AMA team, and what he thinks about getting into MotoGP, as well as his impressions of riding a MotoGP bike.

A preview:

"Q: What do you think of the athleticism of the riders?

A: I rode on the track. You don't really sit down on that bike except for on the straightaways. Everything else, you shift your weight, you position yourself on the bike to make the turn, to downshift, all the things I probably couldn't calculate as often as these guys could have. Those are some of the reasons why I fell. But I don't underestimate them being athletes. They are great athletes. Some of these guys ride bicycles 100 miles, just so they can train themselves to get on the bike. Little guys, but they're powerful, they're athletes. So don't think that they're not. And those little guys working this big bike, that's a lot of work. I appreciate the athleticism in this sport. It's not just "get on the bike and ride." I think it's a lot more than that, and they train themselves to do it."

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>I love MotoGP. That's the NASCAR of motorcycling.
Should we be taking that personally?

Nice interview otherwise

Good interview...not a fan of Jordan but its good to have high profile people of his calibre involved in motorcycle racing.... it can only be good for the sport. Anyone know what sort of gp bike he rode? Suzuki?

Yeah Nascar? Wtf was that all about? Hopefully just a silly mistake...

Well Michael is a fellow North Carlolinian so I will comment on the NASCAR comparison. He's only stating that MotoGP is the top rung of motorcycle racing, unfortunately many North Carolinians think NASCAR is the top rung of car racing which it isn't. I could go on about car racing and how I think it's in the ....... in North America right now, but that is a topic for another forum.

As much as I love motorcycles over basketball, I'd rather meet Jordan more than any sports figure ever (including Rossi, Hailwood, Serna, Babe Ruth etc...).

Jordan could do nothing but good for MotoGP. I'd even root for #26 if he rode for Michael.
