Lorenzo OUT of Catlunya event

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (basspete @ Jun 6 2008, 11:32 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Remember what happened to the last guy who kept crashing in his rookie year?

He rode a Ducati the next season? What are you getting at?

I knew Lorenzo was gonna have at least one more charge at the windmill, but I never expected it to come so soon.

IF two out of the three other contenders are out for a couple of rounds and the last one win no other races for the rest of the season and that's probably what we would be talking about
<

No guarantee that Hopkins will ride yet. He has to pass a fitness test in the morning before he can be given the OK.

wow i wonder what happened to rabat? i was watching the 125s & they never showed the crash... boy i hope he's gonna be alright
<
shame lorenzos gonna miss the race but better safe than sorry. relax & settle down abit jorge you got plenty of time... were already impressed.

Identical Bikes.

Different Tires.

One guy keeps crashing.

One guy is leading the points.

Is Lorenzo overriding or did Rossi make the right choice?

Hmmm.

Only thing that would make this actually legit and somewhat intelligent post is

Yep you guessed it none of it, well I will give you the tires.

Not identical bikes

Rossi has had his crashing

There is always one guy(s) leading the points whorgay is not far behind.

Last question I would say yes to both.

Are you saying he only won coz he was on a Ducati? Thats fishing or flaming. "Karma Police, arrest this man he talks in math." Or is it another conspiracy? Stoner only won on a Ducati because Dorna didnt want him to, but he wore garlic on the podium and warded off evil race directors.

I'm saying don't write the guy off at this stage in his career, Rossi, Doohan and Stoner did their fair share of crashing to get used to the big bikes. He's not Elias or Max, Jorge will be around for a long time. And I'll be very surprised if he's not wearing a No1 on his bike within a couple of years.

Stoner did good on the Ducati but last year was a one off... this year Stoner is not getting his own way and hes not dominating.

That bike is podium at best to me.

horehey should of crashed out of every race this season. was very lucky not to throw it away on the sencd race in the season.... its just catching up with him now.

stoners bike was not the best last year, it was stoner who won the wc not the bike. like its stoner loosing this year not the bike. if it wasn't the bike last year then why has he dropped off the pace so much this year ?

back on topic. colin edwards said at mugello that the michilins were like riding on glass so maybe they have a grip issue and thats why lorenzo is crashing. i think rossi made the right choice at the right time switching to stones.

"Esteve Rabat was brought back to a conscious state on Saturday morning, and is now able to talk. CAT scan results were clean, and he is currently in a stable condition. Repsol KTM will shortly give more information about the situation".

i think you should look at the board it has points onit at least lorenzo doesnt need an advantage to do well, stoner is 4th now going to get an easy ride up the ranks so if he wins or finishes close this year its he wont be gettin any credit from me.........

there shouldnt be a race this weekend it should be called off that track is dangerous im very suprised someone hasnt been killed.

You may have a point, two at the hospital and the third possibly on his way. 50% of the motoGP grid was off the track yesterday... Obviously very difficult.

He was already riding the bike to the limit last season and again this season but its not good enough, if you look at the laptimes they are much better than last year. The competition is tougher.

Stoner + Ducati was good enough to get the job done last season but i knew it would be tougher when Honda and Yamaha got their finger out.

I disagree. He did NOT ride on the limit last year. It might have looked spectacular but then the Ducati allways looked spectacular and even more so in 2005/2006 with Capirossi. With stoner on top it actually looked a lot smother. Unless he is a LOT dumber than I give him credit for, you know, down in the pinky area, he did not ride the bike to the limit except when he had to and could gain a lot. Two examples: China and Catalunya last year. What ever Rossi could come up with he could caunter by powering through the straights. A relativly comfortable situation. His comfort also showed in how few errors he did.

I don't know if it's mt imagination, but there seem to be a lot more riders getting injured this season.

What do the rest of you think?
