Look behind you....
Alright guys, I've started a thread to discuss the race. This is the first time I'm going to be watching an F1 race live, never felt the need to before, but thought it might be interesting to try once and see if I can find the excitement in it o.0

So, looking at the track.... I can't believe they let people race there! The tunnel is pitch-black, the drivers spend half their time millimetres from some wall or another, and a crash on course would mean no way past the crash-site for other drivers. Insane.

Is this really the first time you gonna watch one live???? I'm sure you gonna enjoy it!!!!!!

Maybe it's not as great as Moto, but it's nice in its own way!! I LOVE F1!!
<

And I love this track sooooo much, it's always exciting to watch this GP.
Do you have a favourite to win today??? I hope Raikkonen will win, but I guess that's kinda impossible since he's gonna start from 16th position, and obviously overtaking is almost impossible here..so dont think Kimi will win.

I'm soooooooo excited!!!!! Gonna watch it now..you guys enjoy it!!!!!

RAIKKONEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAMILTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<

If I support anyone its probably Hamilton, finally a top English driver/rider in a race series. Other than that and for no apparent reason, Kubica
<

GO LEWIS

This looks like his best chance to win one, but also his best chance to have a crash, so i am scared. I just hope it stays dry!

Thats the stupidest thing I've ever seen. The last placed drivers don't even see the lights go out due to there being a bend, so they have to rely on the drivers next to them! I would love to see the drivers on the row they need to see stall.... the last six or eight drivers will be sitting there waiting wondering why they haven't started driving yet
<

Right, here it goes then! Come on Hamilton!

Well this is dull. Hamilton holds onto Alonso for two laps and now Alonso's running away, Massa's closer to Hamilton, nobody's overtaken anyone except on the lights..... I hope it gets better than this o.0

So.... Raikkonen has sat behind Jensen Button's Honda for the entire race, he's clearly quicker, but is going nowhere. How is this interesting?! The only change in positions came when Alonso went in to pit and Hamilton took the lead, which he lost when he went in to pit.

You have chosen the worst race of the year to give it a chance, there is no chance of passes happening on track without blue flags, and the race is frustrating to watch. Give it another chance at a real circuit.

That race wasn't very exciting at all, marginally better than barcelona i'd say. I think i was a victim of my own expectations though, because i really wanted Lewis to take it, but there is nothing he can do when Alonso is driving like that.

Just found out the second WSBK race was cancelled thought I'd come back to the race after 30 mins away. Positions at the top are the same, but Lewis and Fernando are in a "battle", which probably means Lewis following Fernando for 20 laps. This is the most expensive parade i've ever seen.

PS - I have delayed coverage

I would have loved it as well if Lewis had won the race. At some point I actually thought he had a real chance, cause I thought he would pit much later the 2nd time, but he came in 1 lap later than FA (I thought he would stay on track for at least 3 laps). That didn't happen, after that it was pretty clear Fernando was gonna win. A well deserved win for the Spaniard!!!
You could see Lewis wasn't that happy, you could tell he wanted to win today, but..his time will come, I'm sure of that!!! He's still leading the championship (with Fernando as well).

Our commentators were so sure of Lewis' tactical advantage, which bareley existed in reality. You could tell Lewis was disappointed, but thats a good thing.

IR, I think with modern F1 you have to have been watching it for a few years to really love it. I fell in love with it when I was six years old when Damon Hill was champion and even though it's pretty boring now, I love it as much as I love MotoGP, and still watch every Grand Prix, because its almost part of my routine now, like sleeping and eating. To get into the sport now and truly appreciate it I imagine is difficult.

hamilton worked so hard to get back to within a second behind alonso then his team orders him to lay off.... that sucks

His team ordered him to lay off????
<

What makes you say that??

Alonso was the best one today, simple as that. I wanted Lewis to win, and he tried his best, but it wasn't going to be enough. Lewis said so himself..the only way he was gonna overtake Alonso was if FA was gonna make a mistake, and that clearly didn't happen!!

Hopefully he'll win a race soon!!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (IsraeliRacer @ May 27 2007, 10:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Orr, so what you're saying is you don't like it anymore, you just watch as routine?
<

Nah, I do like it. I still enjoy watching the races. Although they aren't as exciting as they used to be, so I imagine its hard for newcomers to get into it.

"We will never favour one driver over another; we never have," Dennis said.

But Dennis admitted he "virtually had to decide in advance" which one of the drivers would win in Monaco.

So it was a parade!
