Yes, he obviously couldn't handle the pressure of being ahead of rossi by 9 race wins head to head, and the consequent risk of destroying consensus reality or even the space time continuum itself if he went another season and possibly got 20 wins ahead, given valentino's imminent announcement that he was going to compete for another 2 years. I think he has also assessed the current competition and realised he was at risk of exceeding his hero mick doohan's win total, something he has often stated he did not wish to do.

See thats the pressure I am talking about. please slap yourself before ever doing this again. That goes for all the neo boppers. He's not going to so lets not go there. I dont think neo boppers works anymore, I think we should change it to hypothetical boppers or something like that.

Nine was already to me a fairly adequate demonstration without anyone getting greedy. Doesn't look particularly likely to be less than that at the end of this season though, and I did with malice aforethought confine myself to something which is mathematically possible if totally unlikely by the end of this season, there being more than 11 races remaining.

Thats all fine and good its the part about "if" he raced another season. I really dont want to hear that. I am talking about the pressure to handle the media and the negativity. They have been far more harsh to a lot of people. Its part of the game.

As I said, still 15 races to go this year.

Please inform me of any other 2 time premier class world champions who have been treated more harshly. I can think of several riders with lesser records who have been treated with similar harshness, oddly including a number of riders who have similarly dared to win races against valentino rossi.

Whether or not he likes the media or the media likes him is irrelevant in any case, if someone mentally weak can win 10 premier class races a season twice then either mental strength is over-rated, or semantics is not a strong point for you.

He quite unequivocally will not win all 15 remaining races , or 11 of them. I did confine myself deliberately to the arithmetically possible in anticipation of responses, however
