it's going to be exciting to see if Honda can put another one in the win column.
They have a pretty impressive string of Suzuka wins.

20 wins is very impressive, especially when you're nearest competition only has 4 or 5. Has it been announced officially Vermeulen will go to MotoGP next year? If so, will he be with HRC or joining a new team?

Vermeulen is my fav in world Superbike. After that performance on one of the last races if not THE last race where he crashed and got a ride back to his backup bike before the start (thanks to Giovanni Bussei - what a class act he is for that!) and started last but made it o finish 6th or 7th... how could anyone not love this kid. I see a bright future for him in MotoGP. It'll be tough going against the other young guns like hopper, hayden, and pedrosa, but he'sll definately do wel on the right equipment.

I hope they take the 8 hours race! Good luck to them, i'll be checking the net for updates and coverage, as the US Sucks! lol

Ooost - that sig quote kicks ...! im gonna have to borrow it for another forum! lol

Vermeulen is the boy!! Get him into motoGP quick i say! Along with kids like Pedrosa and Kiyonari(lets hope) its guna be really exciting!

Ps. Dont worry General, We dont get any news on the suzuka 8hr over here either!

Thanks General, it was in one of the interviews of Nicky in a magazine posted at his website. Does anyone get much coverage of the 8 hour? I would sure like to. I also wish there were more GP competitors still doing it. Does anyone recall in 2003 when Nicky Hayden and Ryuchi Kiyonari were the Seven Stars Honda SP-2 team? Hayden was fastest all weekend and Kiyo was third and first lap of the race someone sprung a leak and Nicky went down in a puddle of oil. I would certainly love to have an 8 hour win on my resume.

I remember that. They were favored to win and a few other people went down in that oil spot too if i remember correctly. There were highlights last year on speedtv, but it was on another speed news show, not like a dedicated one for the race. It showed them switching riders and stuff, was pretty cool for sure.
