Yes it is true, I am retiring. I was going to keep it under wraps till the under season, but our well respected, resident reporter and forum insider KropoStylie decided to out me. Hes good at outing. I wonder why he has so much insider knowledge
A lot of factors led to my decision. I am becoming increasingly unhappy with all the formula changes.
Every time Ben makes a site update I am utterly confused. I cant upload pics, cant change my sig,cant embed a video and cant find emoticons.
The restrictions are starting to strangle me.
The costs associated with being a user are increasing. Ordinary people can no longer post quickly, recieve status updates and follow topics without laying out $2.50 for a Tapatalk app. Unless you have this app you will never be able to keep up with the members that do.
ChopperMarquezman is able to post more then anyone else. I suspect he has hacked into his app and is cheating
Some members can never have any success under these changes.
Look at SS56 the 2nd and Barry Machuniet. No matter how hard they try their posts will always be ....
Back in 2008 I was appalled by the amount of members who doubted that I had chapped lips. Some called it a fake moisture control problem. Others were saying hurtfull things like I had Herpes.
Also in 08 I made a clean, concise and well prepared post. Jumkie quickly posted his agressive rebuttal,right after me completely destroying the trajectory of my arguement. I attempted to regain my composure and get back into the debate but the thread was already lost to me.
I was dismayed by the amount of members who agreed and defended Jumkies erronious position. This exchange made me very bitter
Last year I was greatly saddened by the loss of up and coming member Halfpint. She had a great talent of rambling. I have never seen the like.
While I was able to post worthless .... for a line or two, she could somehow post entire paragraphs of .....
Her loss made me realize that what I do here can have dire consequences. Every time I pop open the laptop cover, push the start button and post on Powerslide, I realize that I Bens ban button can be right around the corner. We members post for the love of it but what we must always realize that if we push too hard then we can lose everything
So after this season I will leave the GP forum and spend more time with my lovely wife. Because we all know, that we really want, is to spend every waking hour for the next 65 years holed up in the wilderness with our wives and spoiled ... little .... kid who has an Iphone 4 while I still have a Blackberry. She will be happy that I no longer will have to spend countless hours on the keyboard,ignoring her trying to prove some worthless point to a keyboard warrior half a world away.
And the last reason I am retiring is that religious douschebag Willski. He conned me into buying a Willski Bible and promised me that if I practiced Willskiism I would smash my way through life. He said to watch Cal Crutchlow this year because he was a recent convert.
So far I have seen no personal results.
Oh and not only am I retiring, Im taking Mental Anarchist, and MT1992 with me
