According to Johns official twitter -

Not sure what to say...unfortunately my leg has had a bit of set back, sorry not said sooner...Iv just been trying to get my head around it all 1st !!! To say I’m gutted is an understatement.

Not sure how serious this is, could be another high profile rider out for the foreseeable future, I don't see Hutchy being back soon either, his leg is still in a cage.

It just gets worse doesn't it, I see that its said that if the cage doesn't come of Hutchy's leg by the end of April he won't be riding this year, as he won't be fit enough. But then how many TT's has he missed in the last 10 years?

Surprisingly just 2, 2011 and 2013, he raced at 2012 but was clearly unfit and raced at 2014 but never gelled with his bike and quit the team not long after the Ulster Grand Prix
