Does anyone think Burgess is old school and wants the top GP class to consist of smaller bikes again?

From what I understand of Burgess' comments, he is only concerned with limiting the performance of the bikes. 600cc bikes would slow the bikes down again (except in the corners, of course), and reduce top speeds once again. I think he does have a natural affinity for smaller bikes. What he does not have (and many crew chiefs like him) is any interest in the cost dynamics between the different displacements and formulas. They only care about going as fast as possible, not what it costs to run a 600cc bike vs a 1000cc bike.

Oh ..... Whoops ......... forgot to mention that I am getting more convinced that JB will be at Duc.

Something about a carpenter ( yeah go figure I thought it would be a Plumber ..... another JB thread

) who knows a guy who knows Burgess

Actually the in-betweeners the carpenter ( very well known to me ) and his "friend" ( whom aparently I once knew ..... I remember the name and the younger face but wouldn't recognise him from a bar of soap these days ) are both known to me so I kinda believe this one. The "friend" is a close personal friend of JB.

Ha the friend of a friend's friend Doohan

Doohan, who won five world titles with Burgess as crew chief at Honda, says that he will be critical to the success of Rossi's $20 million Ducati deal. "They are a great team and that will help Valentino right from the start. No doubt he wouldn't want to break that bond that he has," Doohan said.

"They've worked together long enough to know that if Valentino raises an eyebrow he knows what it means."

Doohan says that Honda shouldhave moved to take Burgess back into their team and to perhaps work with Stoner, who joins Honda next year.

This would spilt up the Rossi-Burgess combination, the most feared in MotoGP.

"If I was Honda I would be offering JB anything that it took to undermine Valentino's operation.

"He's got a lot of world championships under his belt so it would be worth every cent."
