Jack Doohan (son of Mick) - now an F1 driver

Realise that this place is all about MotoGP and associated bike racing primarily, but have just seen an article announcing that Jack Doohan, the son of the 5 time world champion Mick has secured a place with Alpine in F1 replacing Estaban Ocon.

Now I have NFI on standard of F1 or heirachy but suspect that Alpine are well down the pecking order in result terms, but this is great for Aussie motorsports.

No doubt Mick is one proud dad.

Mick had a decent first race. didn't do anything he should regret.

With plenty of rookies coming through next season, it could be a good oportunity for him to make the switch.
