It's Official: Trackhouse Racing to join MotoGP.

Good luck to them. Not blown away with the team name or bike colour scheme unfortunately.

I think the colour scheme is a tribute to Nicky, whom the team owner was a fan of. It won't be like that next yr.

Not an American but that livery would be a nice break of pace. There are already too many dark liveries in the paddock, this one adds something different.

I can't stand the livery. It annoys me that they name drop NH69 and then give us a typical American flag livery. You want to pay tribute to Nicky? Give money to his foundation, hire his brothers, name the team after him but don't use his name just to spark interest. Thats 469 all over again.

Paint job is tacky. What MotoGp experience do these guys bring? Just has that "American Exceptionalism" vibe to it all.

Only the owners are different. The 'team' is still RNF so all the mechanics, engineers etc are retained. I'm willing to give them a chance, as they have a good track record in the US. I'm at least giving them the benefit of the doubt they will be better than RNF was with all the dodgy sponsors etc they had.

It is a customer team, all they really need to do is focus on the business side of racing, and they have had success in types of racing. They talked about wanting to grow the sport in the US, which I think will be very hard given wither the motorcycle industry is in the US right now.

Apparently Trackhouse has confirmed it will run GP24's next season, but the link to the statement on their Instagram page has been removed.

MotoGP is a business (my Canadian government Pension Plan - CPPIB - is one of the biggest investors currently, they are not doing it because they like motorcycle racing), it's about profit, America is a big potential market for the VideoPass or perhaps American television !

Actually not as crazy as it sounds, if VR46 moves to Yamaha then there’s a spare set of used GP24’s available

It comes across as garish using any flag like that, but the colors most certainly DO work on a race bike...

Appears to be the same team

Perhaps they will have Joe Roberts in 2025?
Unless Joe wins at least five races and finishes Top 3 in the championship next year (spoiler: he won't), I don't think they will hire him as a token American like Logan Sargeant.
Justin Marks is usually pretty serious about his projects and I'm sure his team will be an asset to the sport.
That said, let's not run 4 races in the States every year. Unlike Spain, the fan base simply isn't there to justify it.
Probably just for the presentation. Note the lack of advertising on it
They do run an American flag scheme on one of their NASCAR Cup cars. I wouldn't be too surprised if their bikes featured an American flag design and tbh I wouldn't mind it.
