ok,here's the summary of link above..

Lin Jarvis was in Jakarta on Wednesday morning, October 13th (local time), when asked by local press,he stated (his statement was very clear) that JB is going with Rossi along with 3 of his long-time mechanic (Anciau, Briggs and Coleman -- all left Honda with Rossi in 2003).

Then why don't JB or Briggs stop denying it.
<

They'll get a bit of media attention this weekend so we'll see if they have made their minds up yet.

Its pretty clear that they must still be in talks, could be with Ducati, but I was again wondering if the fact that Stoner is not worried about what team and where he is at Honda, are talks still active there?

I can't see Burgess being the type to "play" with this issue by keeping secrets, where's the benefit? No if Burgess knew he would just come out and say where he was going.

JB and crew may as well get their share of attention and headlines...they can't let Rossi have all the fun.

Paycheck. It gets bigger the more he holds out.

well i doubt ducati want to pay em anything extra so maybe jb & the others are wanting the doctor to kick into their pay out of his pocket..... i think rossi is the 1 with the most to lose if they go...

The official nature of the announcement may add sourness to the already troubled relationship between Yamaha and these guys-or at least Rossi's, I'm sure JB and crew are aiming to win again this season and want full support to continue to prove that they are the best.

Telling the public that you are moving on is more than likely a distant second to winning.......

Yes, i think the same about this.

Acyually Rossi's situation has to learn himself and the other top riders/managers to make their new contracts untill the end of a championship and not untill the end of a year. That way they wouldn't have to ask/beg for an earlier release from their team.

I think this was the real reason(or a major factor) Ducati signed Rossi....to get Jeremy Burgess.

JB will sort the bike and all Ducati riders will benefit. It will make the Ducati more actractive to up and coming young guns and help Ducati sign their next world champion.

Its what happened at Yamaha....and Lorenzo benefited from it and was ultimately quicker than Rossi.

The same will happen at Ducati....2012 they will sign some young bull that will also benefit from JB's development of the Ducati and again be quicker than the old bull Rossi.

Burgess is the smartest signing of the year.

So its Official? ie. Official thats there is still no answer yet ?ie. Officially unofficial ...........

I think we will not see the real answer until JB has finished his current contract with Yam.

Interview with Burgess on GPOne.com

Did Valentino say anything in particular to convince you to follow him?

“No. Valentino is a guy that understands the way things work, and he knows how to wait for the right time. He let me know that he wanted me to come with him, and then he waited respectfully for my decision. And besides, starting to work with a newer, younger rider would have been much more difficult."

This would seem close enough to official to even satisfy barry. I personally consider gpone.com to be a more credible site than motogp.com anyway.

I have to say though that I agreed with barry and thought that jb was such a stickler for abiding by contracts etc that he might wait for his yamaha contract to be served out before he said anything. It is interesting that this and valentino being able to test at valencia have come out now that jorge has clinched the championship and had the opportunity for a valedictory race. If jorge wins estoril and dani miraculously wins valencia I may start to suspect the involvement of dorna script writers though.
