Is too early thinking

I agree with you there. I think the TC heavy Ducati would be more the problem, old school riders probably have issues with trusting to the bikes electric control and prefer to make the calls themselves. The Ducati, having the advanced TC system that it does would not really fit Rossi´s style I think.

thats probably true, because i read some comments from Swantz (forget) who tested all the bikes and said Rossi's was the most fun to ride.

Well. Despite lots of rumours and silly talk i think Rossi has said he will end his career with Yamaha. however if he moved i could see him going to Honda or Ducati, depending on who had the best offer for him at the time. Stoner would accept him for sure, because he wants a fair comparison to shut up his doubters, and i think Pedrosa would feel the same. I think Rossi would be more likely to reject a team mate than either of the youngsters. As for the Prost - Senna comment, did you see Dani and Nicky last year, every time they got near each other it became about pride and eventually they paid the price, fortunately the consequences weren't as bad as they could have been.

yamaha. I think will be so because here "world rally championship" fans asked me as "only one motogp fan" of the group hey ¿do you think "THE 46" come to wrc at mid term?
Colin Mc Rae (RIP) was VR idol. Moreover two years ago, more or less
VR got an dissapoinment experience with an peugeot 206 at Rally of Great Britain,
Although that, he never deny that he would like be rally driver when say "that all pals" at motogp world what if B$$$EST OFFER come from wrc and rossi leave handle bar and we see him sit behind steering wheel

If ducati's TC is that good that you need to trust it 110% and stoner could do that without falling off once, then that would be a major reason for Stoners victory. Clearly a TC that outperforms the human every time and in any situation where all the others strugle would be a tremendeous advantage to use. But I don't for a second belive that. Quite the oposite, there are serious falws in the Ducati TC that make capirossi with his somewhat stiffened 250 style look like a slow rookie and he sure is neither. Stoner with a different style hit a sweetspot that simply works with the traction control as it is (or was). If anyone could copy that it's Rossi, but again, it's just ifs and more ifs.
No, they still have a long way on the TC and the rider still matter, even on the ducati and thank geeky for that.

On the matter Rossi going to Ducati I find the thought tempting, but as the situation is it's not likly to happen in 2009 unless something happen. People get injured in this sport and they get kicked out for not doing their job. It's also the slightest possibilty Rossi could accept a one rider team as the one he started his 500 career, and as he is for all pratical reasons in right now. But that's even more speculations, but what else can we do without any action around.
PS! Rossi didn't mind Stoner in the team but said it would be a bad career move for stoner, and boy was he right.

I agree with both these points.

It probably wasn't clear that stoner had the ability to be the number one rider for a top factory team last year, but it was fairly clear he was temperamentally unsuited to being a number two rider. Trying to match rossi on a bike designed for him with a michelin front tyre would likely have been problematic in any case.

But Jeremy wanted him .... Rossi vetoed it.

We have had this discussion before with me advancing this argument, and a fair point was made that burgess is rossi's crew chief and not the yamaha manager and hence not the one who signs new riders, although I don't think it unlikely that he would have been asked his opinion. He also originally said he would have liked to see yamaha sign casey in response to a question at a general interview rather than volunteering it himself.

I don't think it necessarily reflects badly on rossi even if he really did not want stoner, preferring to have a definite number two rider, as this certainly improves your chances of winning a world championship and has been the preference of many motorsport greats including michael schumacher.

Rossi has been pushing for his own team ever since he knew Colin was leaving the factory team, Colin is the only team mate i think Rossi ever liked and thats because Rossi owned him

Man you are truly silly, of course I am assuming that either
1. you are joking
2. you are trying to cause an arguement that you are incapable of following or participing intellegently in

In either case I will just say that you are entitled to your opinion (however silly our misguided) and proceed to read your posts and laugh.

Ciao.

Today we use the kill switch to slow friends down at the lights...even use the penduras (passager in english I think) to do it...or to distract the driver. Good times....and usually the only way I can beat my 1000cc buddies with my guys 600.

Capirossi was racing more years before TC then he has with it... and most likely was racing before you were born
