Superb post Jum.

- and yeah, how about we all forget our affinities to our nations, our fave riders, and suspend our differences, maybe celebrate our collective passion for this sport for a change

I can feel the love reverberating through the forum already

Sorry Jumkie but you're wrong. In the post race interview he can say something ...., but Lorenzo has been constantly reckoned that Vale's bike and his are different, although everyone tell the opposite story, including his team manager.

Your post is always long enough to make everyong boring. People never entirely read your "comprehensive" post.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Sep 23 2009, 06:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>As to the topic question, I think Lorenzo, above any other rider has the right combination for the largest fan base. He's first of all in the elite class of riders, the best on the grid. His ego, for all his antics still speaks and conducts himself professionally and prudently (I even dare say humble) during interviews and post race media blitz. Every time Rossi has beaten him, Lorenzo has given the man his props and has admitted being beat himself, no blame on some equipment issue. He's got a great logo, that anybody can recognize (only one other rider can be recognized by a logo, everybody else falls way behind this great marketing facet of promotion).

Not quite nghiemlong, its clear your rossi colored glasses have lots of grime on them. The content of my reference was from an article regarding the bikes; NOT during an interview after a race. Lorenzo mentioned he was waiting for some parts, then Rossi said the bikes were the same, but then backpedaled and admitted it was "normal" for him to have parts before Lorenzo since he had greater status in Yamaha.

Get yourself informed before you go challenging people's facts.

Jum is right. I'll add that Rossi didn't start saying "I don't deserve this" until after Lorenzo re-signed with a garuntee of equal parts.

I hope and pray that MotoGP does not get another Rossi. The sport would fail. After a long Rossi career the sport is in tatters - bugger all money and an empty grid. THIS IS NOT ROSSI'S FAULT. Just to stop the slamming. Dorna has pandered to one rider to its own detriment. The best thing that can happen to this sport is to have several riders good enough to win on equipment that they can win on. Then there is value in sponsoring other riders and teams rather than just the rider and team that is at the centre of Dorna's universe.

Will Jorge ever be as good as Rossi - hahaha what a joke, he has proved nothing yet. When he wins on a bike that he developed and no one else can win on then I will consider him to be more than just a good rider.

Not to Dornas detriment ..... but to the original FIM's detriment. The original formula is somewhat sallied by Dornas need for lots of fans who are willing to fork out for their fan paraphernalia. Dorna is doing just fine thank you very much

Of course others have beaten Rossi straight up… The thing is that it happens occasionally for over a decade. Same decade or so that Rossi has beaten all of those Riders several times with huge numbers to back it up… Over and over… Under dramatically different conditions!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Sep 23 2009, 12:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>But then again, with the eventual exit of Rossi happens…

Hopefully in several years time!

‘Naively’ no doubt bro… And the thing is that it has been vs. X and Y, Z. A, B, C. i; ii, iii. etc.

Plus up till today, everyone still ‘compares’ Rossi’s results to, guess who, Agostini’s! Simply because Rossi still has to break a couple of Agostini’s Records!

I don’t mean to be rude but prepare your naivety for it compa!
