.... they are really giving me a headache to build my team!

I could be right about Capirossi after all,. I was hoping he would be Rossi's biggest threat given some of his toe 2 toe with Rossi last year,. looks like he really could be de'man !

I'm biased too cuz i like the guy

I told you guys. Toni Elias... Marco Melandri waiting to happen.

Saturdays times, what y'all think about the Hondas or lack of them. Two kwackers in the top five. I know there's one more day to go but Shinya is half a second inside the lap record
<
I couldn't find out whether or not he had a qualifier in but if he hadn't I think this is very exciting. For sure the trend is that lap records get broken most years but this is still impressive IMO. I remember peteboy ( I think ) saying that If Shinya was on a Yam, he'd be hassling the boys at the front. Maybe he's not on a Yamaha, but could he be on the next best thing? Ask de Puniet..........

If tomorrow's timesheet is just as interesting as this, the first race should be great.

1. Shinya Nakano - Kawasaki Racing 1'40.047
2. Loris Capirossi - Ducati Marlboro 1'40.544
3. John Hopkins – Rizla Suzuki MotoGP 1'40.791
4. Randy de Puniet - Kawasaki Racing 1'40.839
5. Dani Pedrosa - Repsol Honda 1'40.859
6. Valentino Rossi - Camel Yamaha 1'40.915
7. Carlos Checa - Tech 3 Yamaha 1'40.943
8. Sete Gibernau - Ducati Marlboro 1'40.964
9. Colin Edwards - Camel Yamaha 1'41.105
10. Chris Vermeulen – Rizla Suzuki MotoGP 1'41.110

well done shinya but im not gunna worry if puniet getting times like this as he not gunna b the top man, or am i wrong? lots of things change cum race days me thinks but all good fun,,,, honda wow is there a problem or is it cum race day they will b there, last term it came out of the box and off it went..

Just 1 Honda in the top 10, I predict lots of hara-kiri going on in HRC headquarters.

Dukes used race tyres on Saturday and the times were ok. Ducati has the advantage of testing for the second time at Jerez. I can't wait for the race to start
<

Both Loris and Danii are looking good so i'm might not change my team after all.
<
(I'll probably change my engine when i'll have the maney
<
) I'm still thinking about that.

Bridgestone runners one thorugh four. Looking at that I have to believe it's the tires that aren't agreeing with the Hondas. Even the constantly tested Michelin shod Yamahas can't crack the top five. Pedrosa made a very good lap to sit in fifth but I still don't think he is the biggest Honda threat. Who that will be is a crap shoot.

4. Dani Pedrosa - Repsol Honda 1'40.416
5. Randy de Puniet - Kawasaki Racing 1'40.468

Hondas appear on the radar! Though still quite low.

I'm happy for Kawa, Shinya is getting consistently among the top riders in this test.

Nah, this year Rossi's leaving has finally caught up with Honda. It presents opportunities for a lot of parties, like Bridgestone, Tech 3, Hopkins and of course KAWASAKI!

You don't need an M1 Shinya, just remember what Mad Max and Eddie Lawson taught us nearly 3 decades ago....
ZED'S THE BEST, ... THE REST!
<

Yeh, so anyway.....
<

Shaping up to be an awsome season in terms of variation.

And I can't stop laughing! Frosty, Ooost, I know you guys are Honda fans..... But I'm not, and this Honda taking WCM's place is great
<

Oooh, look at the "Mighty" RCV now
<
Why don't they dust off your old NSR's, right now it's their only hope of a top ten finish
<
(Sorry guys, I'm just enjoying this way too much)

But seriously, all this can be traced back to Rossi leaving. They lose their best developer, then insetead of trying to find a replacement, they use all their recourses to try and beat the traitor, employing guys like Biaggi as part of a massive, Honda-wide grudge.
So hats off to Rossi. I mean everybody loves him because he wins so much and he's such a charismatic, funny guy. But my respect for him comes from somthing deeper. This guy took on the HRC empire, which took decades, hundereds of people, and millions of dollars to build. And this man singlehandedly destroyed it in just two years, all because they wouldn't let him sleep in
<

That's pretty impressive if you ask me.

I know they'll come back, Frosty. Big corporate fatcats who practically own the sport and only let other manufacturers race so they can beat 'em
<

I'm just making the most of this.

I can't belive you, anyway, frosty. You would have grown up in the Zed culture, where real men rode the big tough Z1's and sissy rich kids rode the "Polite" CB750s. What kinda late 70's/ early 80's sportsbike wants to be remembered for anything other than being a powerful mongrel with handling that would scare most modern racers.
<

Honda- <strike>The power of dreams</strike> What's the point?

brings back memories of the Wayne fella riding the Moriwaki against the GP Stars at the time,. some .... in GB even told him to go home he'd never make it as a racer,. just how wrong can a buddie be
<

I've just been reminded by jnr that WG's last race at phillip island was his best,. the one where they were gonna black flag him for his faring hanging off,....

black flags, eh !,. now I remember once they tried to black flag me..............
<

that's for another day maybe
<

Good ole Gardiner eh? The only thing that could knock him down was another Aussie
<

Shame those two don't get along. Two of the best from down under.

<

I just wished I hadda had a rich papa,. f__k I would'a wipped soem ... [ that's my story and I is sticking too it, right !

Yer, me too. But a sticky throttle on a PW50 and a big wall of dirt put me off bikes for a few years
