I think it is inevitable that fatalities increase with the speeds and capabilities of modern bikes on such a circuit that does not have runoff to speak of in a lot of corners.

I still hope the race carries on, as I would still like to attend someday. It is an icon of bike racing.

Everybody knows the risks around that circuit.
