too much passing harms the buzz of racing. No,

wtf is he on. if there aint any passing there aint any racing.
props to hayden for putting him right on this fact.

..so only because Hayden likes 'nascar' he likes to overtake? That author is a ........

Maybe this proves what Ive always thought of Button. I always thought he was overated and he seems to think he deserves to be world champ without actually doing anything like winning races.

Yep well done Nicky.

got to be 1 of the stupidest things to come out of a racers mouth!

You know its just a pride thing. F1 drivers don't know how to overtake (exemption for JPM, and they're just trying to make themsleves look more talented than they actually are, by saying all this ..... about too much overtaking bla bla.. Eddie Irvine once said something similar. .. imo if theres no overtaking theres no racing

The best thing for F1 now would be to ater the regulations so the cars can run close without losing downforce, and shorten the races to around 45 mins to an hour, with no pitstops, like MotoGP. Then they wouldn't sit around and wait for pitstops. I once got scoffed when I mentioned this idea on an F1 forum, because it wasn't 'pure'..

OK, so racing flag to flag isn't pure? MotoGP, and motorcycle racing in general, imo, is the most pure of motorsports, because its flag to flag. In bike racing, the best man on the day, wins the race. In F1, the man with the best strategy on the day wins the race. I wonder which is more 'pure'.

I wasnt aware that Hayden is a big overtaking rider himself!?

good grief - that just about sums up f1 for me !

BUT - i've got a plan to save it !

someone told me (so don't flame me if i'm wrong) that f1 cars create more down force that they actually weigh once they get over 80mph so i say.............. race on the ceiling.

they could do 'hot wheels' stylee racing ? up walls, loop the loop, upside down etc etc

great eh

no need to thank me Bernie

Eh tu Brute?

I'm wondering, is it possible to race without passing? Isn't that like saying, yeah, I like to race but I don't like speed. WTF? (It must have been a miss-quote.)

i would be surprised if he actually said that, come on i know f1 is a load of balls, but who in there right mind would say anything like that. if all f1 drivers thought like that then why not start like the isle of man tt. we all know f1 is a pile of ..... just look what happened at indy, bridgestone would let them put a chicane in before the bank because they knew as a result the michelin teams couldnt run safely, as a result m. schumacher got handed a victory. now some one at the top could have had the balls to have put the foot down and order them to put one in, but that never happened.

could you imagine the same thing happening in motogp, poor old shinya knows all to well about tyre failure at high speed.

f1 is too wrapped up in rules and regulations for its on good and it kills what could be very good racing instead of a procession.

Yeah, it would be great all this “'hot wheels' stylee racing up walls, loop the loop, upside down, etc. etc.” and then fly away from ramps into godsilla’s throat, or smashed by ghosts, or something so that we don’t get to see them anymore…

PD. We would have to find another insomnia treatment though!

I dont know what that means RJ, so I checked the font of knowledge.

From what I could fine, it was Cesar's last words, something to do with Halo on the xbox and popular aftershave, most associated with naff christmas present:

So if you could explain what it means, I'm be more the wiser

I think he means "Et tu, Brute", Julius Caesar's mythical last words indeed. Meaning in rough translation "Not you as well!!" Or in exact translation "You too, Brutus"

Of course we all know Julius Caesar's real last words were "INFAMY, INFAMY, they've all got it in for me" but there you go.

Ain't nothing naff about Brut!!

The 2 of them sang a song with Henry Cooper (THE BOXER) for the Xmas ads, with the qmazing lyrics:

(Henry) Now I am in the Christmas mood,
(Barry) Oh Henry, may I please intrude?
(Henry Oh look it's Barry, what have you there?
(Barry) Christmas goodies from you know where
(All) I think he means from Brut
(Steph) So give someone close, the perfect gift
(All) Make it Brut 33 on the 25th, Make it Brut 33 on the 25th!
(Fade out to end)

The things that stick in your mind!!!

Pete

(I'll try and remember the bassline!)
