Not being funny, but if they're strapped for cash what they doing arsing about at Goodwood? Surely they should just pool all money into development?

Exactly, surely everyone who is interested in bikes will be a Donnington????? so what's the flipping point, and in anycase bad planning having the two weekends running on the same one.
Its purely to emphasise that the project is still GO, as i read, theyre looking forward to 2008 now, 2007 appears to be HIGHLY unlikely for an Ilmor return..
Its a shame, but they need to find sponsorship and i guess getting their name out into the public eye without the humiliation of coming last by 4+ seconds a lap is a way to draw some positive attention..

If they had any committment they would have done more than 1 round.
Ilmor are rolling in dosh and they could easily fun themselves for a year worth.

yes they will liz but also anybody who nows the ilmor is crap will be at donny, they need some fresh sponsors they dont no ....

It is very bad planning for them both to be on the same weekend especially that weekend inparticular as i have an a-level exam the monday morning after! I can't go to Donny coz of it coz with the queues and everything and the fact i live in surrey i wont be back until gone midnight most likely. so i am having to go to goodwood instead not sure if going on saturday or sunday cant remember but hopefully saturday so i can watch the GP at home on sunday. There are quite a few WSB at goodwood and Ilmor will be there so at least i'll have some bikes to watch!
Next year i am going to Donny for sure!

Shame you can't got this year, but good luck in the exam, it will be worth it. Goodwood is pretty good by all accounts so you should have a good time whatever. I won't be going to donny on race day either if it makes you feel any better, but will be going Friday with the kids.

i've been to goodwood before and got Stoner's autograph last year when he was there riding LCR honda rc211v and it is good...just not as good as Donny! several wsb riders including JT, bayliss and corser there so should be good to watch them anyway.
it was funny at goodwood last year there was someone dressed up as Valentino with a number 46 tshirt etc and the yellow sun visor and the right type of haircut. he walked through the paddock and was immediately surrounded by loads of people thinking it was actually Valentino. he gave a couple of autographs before legging it when a steward tried to stop the people from surrounding him. wish i had taken a photo of it coz it was so funny.

Goodwood? The place with hay bales and leaky old BSA's?
I understand where Mario is coming from. Goodwood's probably the only place in the world he can take his bike and get the fastest lap times at the event
