If you don't win the Championship...you're fired.

yeah, but what wouldn't be pedalling back for him, what should he do then?? if honda doesn't want him anymore, which team would be the best option for him? I agree with honda, they have given him 4 years, it's time for hayden to show something. if hayden wants to be a world champion, this is the year to do it. I don't know if he would like a satelite team, like fortuna etc. Yamaha isn't the best either, look at edwards. ducati can be a good choice, but the tyres/bike just aren't up front

haga I agree with you, nicky can't lead the race, it seems like he can't keep his speed high enough. another thing what can irritate me just a little bit is that when he's taken over, he tent to fall back instead of countering!!

Major slip up...

Regardless of where Hayden finishes, Honda would be stupid to sack him. He's one of the top young talents and if he doesn't win it this year, he definitely will at some point.

honda already has one of the top young talents in pedrosa. I don't want honda to sack him, but there's a big chance he will get sacked. I see pedrosa winning the WC faster then hayden, IF hayden doesn't win it this year.

If Hayden can't win the title this year, after anyone whose anyone having a crap load of bad luck, he's never gonna, I took it from the interview that Honda may have hinted that this is their position, and they'd be right. Nicky's a big favourite with me but honestly time has run out, he has to stop ....... about and get his finger out and give some solid wins. If he doesn't win at least one race out of the next six I'm not sure he even deserves the title, the japs will be thinking the same. if he does blow it it'll sure make it easy for Honda to not feel so bad about letting him go.

Ok Hayden, with a -34 point lead on Pedrosa, and a -51 on Rossi,so lets face it if Nicky let that sort of lead slip,he would deserve to go,but for me, we are looking at a new world champ this year, the gap may not be -51 by the end of the season, but there will be a Honda underneath the world champ this year, and my money is still on Nicky, the axe comment by Nicky,i'm sure he has not been threatend, but get this right,he know's what is expected of him.
And Nicky will be going no where next year as world champion, only to Honda, they let Rossi go,and i am sure they wont make the same mistake twice.

The worst to happen to Nick, would be for him to be moved to a Honda satellite team, but if he becomes world champ, you will only see him on a Repsol Honda.

This is true, but Doc, he's gotta win at least one more GP?

let him go??? no Rossi split cause Honda are a bunch of A-hole Robots..
I like Nick and hope he does well the rest of the year, BUT i think HONDA are enough of a bunch of pricks to axe him if he does loose it...they're so in love with Danny that they probobly can care less for Nick.

i think you will find that Rossi left because Honda did not give him enough credit for developing the bike,so you can make what you want from that ?

I think Rossi had a lot of reasons for splitting with Honda, one of which was a clash of personalities. True, HRC are very..... professional, but that wasn`t Rossi`s only reason for leaving, and it`s not nessicarily a bad thing. It just didn`t suit Rossi, but no-nonsense, thriving under pressure Pedrosa should do well. Horses for courses.
