So the U.S. has a crappy channel called SPEED (mainly nascar crap)

on "The Wind Tunnel" today they had Nicky H on..
can't believe it was an actuall "motorcycle ryder"!
<

any how, the question was asked about the Championship..

Nick supposedly slipped up and said if he doesn't win the championship,
HONDA will axe him....
<

seems like they want all their eggs in the Pedrosa basket...

IF true, i think Nick should bail on Honda at the end of the season...
F##K HONDA!

discuss....

I didn't get a chance to see the show but that sounds like a major slip up from Hayden. There have been rumors like that all season, especially after he "chose" the 'Evo' RC211V. Saying something like that about Honda while still riding for them is a big Fck you to the empire, it makes me wonder if he is already set on his departure from HRC. Despite whether or not that's actually what happened with HRC, it would be a mistake to leave. Riding in Rossi's shadow at Yamaha won't give him any better of a chance at winning than he has at Honda and Ducati are still a half step back, mainly because of tires.

he basicly said he HAS to win the championship cause honda has given him 4 years to do it.

When asked by dave "so you have to win the championship to keep your ride" he squirmed and never really answered him.....

hamer i just finished watching the rerun of that interview & lets just say nick's not the best when it comes to emm...... expressing himself. i think despain kinda read that into what he said. he seemed pretty adament about stayin on repsol team. he def said there was pressure to win the title, as expected but i doubt that honda would let him go even if he did'nt win the championship. think about it. it's a damn good pairing hayden & padrosa. sponsorship wise, nationality wise. there only gonna get stronger!

i totaly agree....would be dumb on both sides to let Nick go, but it happened to a better ryder, what makes us think it wouldn't to Nick?

i know anything is still possible. but man that sure would be a strange thing for honda to do. i guess we'll know soon enough!

naa..... pedrosa is honda's hope of a new, total dominating rider. if they do send nick packin, melandri has no chance of that ride. most likely would be some japanese rider. kyonari or takahashi maybe ayoyama.

If Nicky does in fact leave, I would be very surprised if Melandri didn't get the Repsol ride. Despite my earlier ramblings about what Nicky said on Wind Tunnel, I think he'll stay put.

nope. melandri would stay at fortuna..... i would bet on that! but nick won't be ridin anything but a repsol honda next season anyway sooooo... it's moot point.

It is a pity that the URL needs Internet Explorer.

Is there any other video in a host free from Windoze?

christiane has put up a hayden vid too, in the 'nicky hayden' topic. maybe that works for you???

The reason why Honda are being like this, is because they are so desperate to beat Rossi. They know and most of the gp paddock knows that Dani will in time win more races and more championships than Rossi but he also needs a teammate that can do the job. I personally am not a fan of Nicky as I don't think he can lead a race without losing time to the person in 2nd place.

It`d be stupid to let go of Nick now, he`s a late bloomer, and he`s just starting to bloom. He`s still young, the most experienced RCV rider Honda have, getting better and the championship leader, yeah he dosen`t look as promising as Pedrosa, or as talented as Rossi, but he`s still way too valuable for Honda to let him go. They might have told him that unless he brings it home this year he`s jobless, but it was probably just pressure. I think next year it is more likely that there will be a bidding war between Honda and Yamaha for him, rather than him getting fired.

Thanks but no, it's from msn.com

too, I'm afraid

If Bill Gates

sold engines software to Yamaha, Rossi would struggle to catch up with Cardoso. Damnit.

What about Hayden replacing Capa in a few years on the Duke? Or maybe even before then, replacing Sete.

hayden wouldnt want to play second fiddle to capirex surely ... and a step to ducati would just be pedalling backwards for him wouldnt it?
