Would he give DMG one more big .... you, and not race in NJ.. Probably not but you never know whats going on inside his head. I also wonder if DMG is planning any kind of presentation or celebration regarding his retirement. I would guess they will say a few nice words and then celebrate like hell behind closed doors that he is gone

I will too. It just feels like he doesn't belong in the championship.

^^^Correction, DMG does not belong in the championship!

Well - yeah he's been great at beating the local talent - but by all rights - he should have moved on and up to WSBK - but he chose to be the big fish in the smaller pond. I for one will not miss his scowling and sneering presence in racing. He's always seemed arrogant and ungrateful. And his unsportsmenly attitude towards his fellow racers has always been a turn-off. He should get together with DuHammel and start a club for grumpy old racers.

I'm glad that I am not the only one who can't stand DuHammel. His wife/gf was always a nice site to see though.

One thing that bothered me about Mat is how he seemed to lament the lack of a challenge, saying thanks to Spies for finally giving him a race and making him want to continue. If he was losing interest, he should have either retired or taken on a deeper talent pool.

What are Miguel's bad habits? I haven't heard much bad about him. I'm curious.

From what ive read, Miguel always had an excuse when he lost a race. 'Think Biaggi'
and was a complete horses ... to anyone who couldnt beat him.

If Mladin really wanted to make a statement, he would have walked away just one point from the title. This would have been the ultimate FU to DMG, by refusing to take their trophy.

I will not miss Mladin. I wish he would have left a long time ago. Good riddens.

He would have still won the trophy even if he had sat out. For him not to win the title would have required Tommy Hayden to sweep the remaining races and we know that wasnt going to happen.

DuHammel was known for his ill temper and for his gross abuse of junior
racers in the paddock. He had that middle-aged rage that he took out
on anyone under the age of 35.

Oops. Quoted the wrong forum member. Oh well.

Correct. I can't even begin to count how many people this guy punted off the track.

Yet by all accounts, his Father Yvon was a gentleman.

I've heard others mention that DuHamel was a jerk. This is news to me actually.
