Roads: Hutchinson set to make shock Honda switch | MCN

Interesting. Wonder what has happened between him and Tyco, Hutchy has been their best roads rider for some time winning 7 international road races in the 2 years he's been with them, probably would have won more had it not been for his crash in the Senior TT this year. Also finished runner up in British Superstock in 2016 too.

I like him but IMO its time he thought a bit about self preservation, personally I'll be surprised if he's back for the TT next year, as they've been growing the tibia bone and that takes a while to get right (think they said his leg was short by almost 2 inches).

If this is the case then I'm presuming McGuinness is taking a step back and sticking to 600's like he suggested earlier in the year because I believe Lee Johnston has signed for Honda for 2018 so if they have Hutchy as well maybe that means John is out unless they field a 3 rider team like 2013.

Mind you Michael Dunlop is yet to commit to anything for next year, can't see him taking the Tyco seat though since he doesn't like working in a multi rider set up(Dan Kneen is there next year, about time he got a top ride) and he kind of rubbed it in a bit much when he beat them with the Hawk BMW in 2016, maybe he'll remain at Hawk and carry on with the Suzuki.
