Just admit it, Honda shot motogp in both feet by pushing for four strokes, and dropping to 800cc. Soo .... HONDA!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Do you have a source to support this? According to something i was reading by Michael Scott it was Yamaha who initially proposed the 4 stroke switch, but of course the idea was widely supported.
And I'm sure YOU can provide that link?
In any case it contradicts everyting I've heard and read, not to mention Hondas everlasting love for four strokes.

It is stated in '60 years of motogp' by Michael Scott.
"The first suggestions surfaced in 1998, spoken about by Yamaha; though most suspected that the original impetus had come from Honda".
I imagine all the manufacturers wanted 4-strokes. Ducati wouldn't have appeared without 4-strokes.

There it is! I knew it was Michael Scott. If actually has evidence that this isn't true it would be interesting to compare it.
