Has Cal been drinking his own Cool Aid?

I'm assuming this must be more of that dry british humour he is famous for. Or he has finally stepped of the deep end.

Top level racers are generally quite similar in having two traits that are important for success: an inability to accept their 'fate', and extraordinarily self belief.

Cal is no different.

I am not as down on Cal as many on here, but there is imo a line which separates self belief from denial of reality.

Of all the riders out there, Dovi is a rider with whom Cal can be directly compared on the same equipment, on which basis he comes up short.

If Cal wants to argue he would be as good as Dovi if he didn't crash much more or was able to stick with a ride until it became consistently competitive in his hands then he might have a case, but until he does these things he hasn't done them.

No brotha you missed the even bigger story. Cal thinks Cal is a contender. The only thing more important than self confidence for an athlete is a grip on reality.

Cal can be as fast as Dovi, but he is not as consistently fast... that said everyone on the grid is capable of having one fast lap, the difference is consistently having the fastest lap.

You'll have to enlighten me there dude,i am an ex-pat Brit but i emigrated down under 12 years ago so i don't really keep abreast of UK racing anymore,he'll have to go some though if he's going to match Cuntslow's level's of tosserdom.....

He almost put William Dunlop into a wall at the North West 200, did the same with Ryan Farquhar also and refused to shake hands with McGuinness after being beaten. He's a double British champion too in Superstock and Supersport but displays the same level of cuntitude, arrogance and dirty riding on the short circuits too.

His pal wasn't long returning the favour though. No quite the same intention as Schwantz hanging about with the slippery surface flag at Donny.

He sounds like a right ....,much as Cuntslow pisses me off at times with his wild gesticulations at anybody who shares the track with him, nobody can ever accuse him of dirty riding,i guess that's Rossi's domain....

Lighten up dude. This forum has forever been impregnated with the whole British flavor thang - that brings with it a lot of good-natured ribbing, or "piss-taking". True there are a few tone deaf individuals who see that as a go-ahead to spew a lot of misdirected anger, but they are a insignificant minority. For them - there's always the ignore button. Remember, it's racing we're talking about - this is not the AARP forum for discussing tea cozys and napkin folding.

Ah mate, Seeley just boils my piss, as I've said in the past on here he's the only motorcycle racer I actually dislike, I'm hoping for the day when he rubs Michael the wrong way and gets the same ahem treatment shall we say that Cameron Donald got at Kells a few years ago.

As has been said, of all posters on here Barry probably "takes the urine" as we say most consistently. Knows his bikes as well when he is being serious.
