If the bike will have torque and power via turbocharging, why does the new concept need two cylinders? Seems like it would be easier to adapt a motocross single, especially since those bikes sell in volume.
Maybe someone has an engineering answer.

Perhaps the exhaust energy that drives the turbo is too interupted on a single cylinder?
You have to wait ~540degrees before the next input to the turbo impeller.
I think Honda had an issue with the turbocharged CX500(?) maggot. Unven pulses from the 90deg twin.
