Expecting differing opinions on this!Meself thinks with a good set up he would be at home with the power of the MotoGP bikes,I mean just look at how he used to wrestle the mighty Duke around-didnt matter if it shook its head off,he just wound it on!And yes I am a big Foggy fan!!!!

I don't know, I didn't really get into the sport until he was injured. Fierce competitor it sounds like, even as a team boss he has an attitude. I respect him but he isn't on my list of favorites, not after bashing Ben Bostrom and Neil Hodgson.

my own thoughts r that foggy cpuld well b dead now, didnt like his style for gp riding rossi would have carved him up and the rest would have, thats not saying hes crap cus ive got all his vids and watch them lots..

Ive sort of wanted to start this topic before but didnt think it would get much response. I think he could have done well but not Champ. He has Tons of determination but lacks experience on 500's(I know hes done one or two GPs in the past.) And as we all know its the old 500 guys who seem to have adapted to the motogp bikes better because the power to weight ratio of the motogp bikes is more like that of a 500 2stroke then it is of a superbike.

Going back to Foggy, imagine what would have happened if he didnt crash early on in 2000? things could have been a lot different. Bayliss would'nt have been drafted in to the factory ducati team i think. I dont think either bayliss or edwards would have won a WSB title as long as foggy would have been in WSB, Hodgson? would he have WSB title to his name? I also would have been Ducatis golden child, Mr Foggarty who would have been chosen to lead the MotoGP squad too?

Imagine that...

Foggy Rules.

A pity his career was cut short.

Its also a pity the FP1's never been successfull too.

I can definitely see that Ron, just by knowing he was Ducati's golden boy while he was there. It is a shame about his career and now his team, but now he is rumored to buy the D'Antin squad. Fogarty... buying Ducati equipment? Would they give any less than brand new machinery to their once golden son for a reasonable price? It could bear well for Foggy if it takes shape.
