Yep, I'll be getting a SM myself, probably at the first of the year. Right now can't decide between the Duck and the KTM. Tough choice, huh?

Design will allways be a matter of opinion and taste and you got a good point in that superior technology is in it self a beautifull design. And it is to a cetain degree true that japanse bikes carry that beauty. But when it comes to design, pure design they don't reach up, and as far as I can see they don't even try or very seldom try that hard. They relay on their technology and the sensible/functional design or the modern design without the view for details other have.
That IS why a '97 Gixer or Blade look old today while a '93 916 doesn't
