<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Yamaha seems poised to clinch a shock sponsorship deal with Italian car giant Fiat for the 2007 MotoGP World Championship.
Although Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards are not currently testing at the Phillip Island circuit, their factory Yamaha team has still been hot gossip in Australia.
It seemed certain that former world champion Rossi would run in corporate colours in the new season that kicks off in Qatar on March 10.
But Fiat are hot favourites to clinch a deal believed to be worth £10m for two years to replace tobacco brand Camel, who quit at the end of the season.

hmmmm

Maybe, but Fiat aren't stupid, they will make their money back. Their car sales could rocket if they're linked with Rossi.

I gotta disagree, I mean, even if I was a Rossi fan, this wouldn't posess me to buy a fiat.

Fiat is from Turin, Italy... and as I heard (gossip crap) a friend of Rossi is in there. However, I think it is more like Telefonica (Spanish Brand)following Pedrosa or Alonzo and leaving when they do not get them…

isnt rossi lucky to have a marque like fiat to back him(both form the same country) any british rider would have to do with, t.v.r, no they where bought by an indian billionaire, aston martin, no ford bought them, oh yeah rover, no, the managing direstors give themselves a pay rise then ...... off and sold it to a chinnese consortiam for a pound or something like that. no all we have left is reliant robin. Nice.

Wasn't TVR in fact bought by a Russian? Or are they just produced in Russia now?

Fiat is 100% Italian. I have owned one of these things in the past, and never again. I spent one weekend working on it for every two weeks of driving the blasted machine. It was also a rolling coffin. Fiat= Fix It Again Tony. No thank you.

There's Rossi's dog (in the photo shop pic) next to a Fiat (I think 500) behind the sit!

PD. And like Telefonica (Spanish Brand) following PedrASIMO or Alonzo and leaving when they do not get them…
