I think its really poor there are not more factory teams in motogp... i read that Epeletza is happy with 18 riders and wants Kawasaki and Suzuki to have a 'hand me down' team.

Customer teams are not going to win championships and even Barros got a ticking off last season for finishing ahead of Stoner at Mugello which shows how much power the factory teams have.

Realistically theres only a small number of riders who can win the world championship.

Rossi
Lorenzo
Hayden
Pedrosa
Stoner
Melandri

Take Lorenzo out of that and maybe even Melandri in a new team and that leaves 3 or 4 candidates.

Kawasaki and Suzuki need to win races regularly first before i would consider their riders.

Maybe it was a little better a few years ago because we had Gibernau and Barros, Biaggi sometimes on good customer bikes and Melandri who's now gone to Ducati who were capable of winning races.

Why do all the factory teams in motogp only run two bikes? Most of the expense is involved in the development and testing of the bike. I thought the difference of cost in running a 3 or 4 bike team instead of 2 would be comparatively small for the factories.

I don't understand why more support is not given to customer bikes. Surely the factories want all their bikes to do well.

True, but the factory team sponsors do not.

The rumour is that Suzuki will have a satellite team in 2009 with Schwantz at the healm. I hope that this is the case.

As is stands right now a satellite team should be an option that TEAMKR is heavily considering. I would love to see KRjr on a Kawak or Ducati. I don't think that he would personally throw his leg over another Suzuki but you never know.

I would love to see as someone mentioned in another thread, Roger Lee in motogp (and Ben Spies). How awesome would that be?
