It has been a stupid project since the beginning. Hellmund landed a contract with F1. The terms sucked, the METF used bunk numbers (from the Superbowl) to authorize funds b/c they wanted investors to build a track. On top of that, mindless liberals have been trolling around from the beginning b/c this is a "Republican" project, and they need some scandal to mess around with Texas politics.
The circuit breached contract with F1. Tavo got bought out, and the contract was renegotiated, but Texas is still on the hook for $25M per year over 10 years.
The best part: The Concorde Agreement expires at the end of this season so the promoters don't even know who will be showing up to race in the future. Not much different in MotoGP.
Im sure Bernie will offer enough " incentives" to the teams for a new agreement. Didnt it cost him about a half billion for their pledge last time.
