Personally I would prefer Melandri over Elias. Melandri has the results to prove his ability and I think Elias is a ham sandwich away from a career ending injury. He is wild.
I would expect that if Corona/Suzuki put a GSV-R800 on the grid you'll see the emperor on it. The Asper/Swantz team should do everything they can to get Melandri who has already spoken to Paul Denning about the future.
Maybe I'm biased (oh I am that) but switching up for an !4 from a V4...seems to make no sense to me.
