Marco Melandri's Future

The photographer has a rather keen sense of humor, doncha think??

Hope it right to the green kwaka....

Nakano races like hes earned alot of money, likes his house, his woman, his life.

Give the ride to AOYAMA

some thoughts of mine how it could turn out.

Gibernau to replace Melandri after the Summer-Break
Gibernau could go to Alice Ducati in 2009 replacing Guintoli and Elias. Alice Team will be a 1 bike team because Ducati give 1 bike to Jorge Martinez with Alvaro Bautista.

Hayden to DucatiTeam, Melandri back to Gresini, and Nakano will get the Dovizioso bike when he goes to Repsol Honda.

Spiess will not come to MotoGP because he want to much money.

Kallio maybe to Kawasaki?

sorry mate, but a rider with a long standing association to REDBULL will be unlikely to end up in a MONSTER sponsored team. and once the kallio piece of the puzzle doesnt fit, the rest of that scenario looks less likely too..

but anythings possible so, who really knows.

That would be probably possible, or Yuki Takahashi??

Kallio would be 99% to Ducati of he moves to MotoGP class, I read sometimes ago he has talked with Livio Suppo. And regarding Ducati will take a day-to-day control in Alice then maybe Kallio will ride there. I just little bit wonder about Ben Spies... will he ride in 2009?

I think Kallio and another rider will go to the Alice/Redbull/Ducati satelite team along with Spies or they keep Guintoli.
On Sete,i think he will replace Melandri the rest of the season from Brno and on and then after much negitiation there is no place for him left, exept Kawazaki and i don't think he would take that offer.
Nicky is taking his spot in the factory team from 2009.

On the other hand ,how would Nicky adapt to Bridgestones?Ducati/Suppo has said they prefered someone who has adapted to those tires some time ago.

who does Spies think he is, hes doing ok at best in motogp so far... i expected him to qualify higher as this was a track he knew really well.

i've heard him in the past dissing the motogp bikes and saying the riders are pretty good.

he seems to have a big head.

Spies should earn his stripes in WSBK before getting a ride in MotoGP - or he can go to a satellite team first he shouldn't get a walk up factory start I don't think.

I don't think Kallio would be that great in the factory Ducati team replacing Melandri next year. Also Sete will not go well if he takes for the rest of the year I suspect. He was a really good rider some years ago on the Honda but can't see him up or near the front as Stoner's teammate.

What about Simonchelli for Ducati in 2009? I think he'll take the 250cc title & a big Italian on the Ducati next year could be a go-er? Or Dovi? Otherwise Nicky Hayden but I'm very skeptical that he'd do any good on the Ducati/Bridgestone combination. He has had all sorts of problem developing the Honda/Michelin package & I think he should go to WSBK and would win another world championship.

Did you pay any attention to qualifying yesterday? Did you look at the results? And more precisely, the tyres?

Spies did well on his Bridgestones.
