Any 1098 owners here? Its time for a new bike and im thinking of getting the 1098. Just after peoples opinions of this model. Any problems regarding reliability? etc..

A friend has a early 08 1098. He has had a few recalls (most recent was a voltage regulator and battery tray). He had an oil leak from a seal on the clutch shaft that is common, an just needed to be removed. If you are looking at a used 08 model, you need to find out if it is one of the early 08's. They have plastic idler gear/bearings against the timing belts. I think my friend was quoted $400 to update to metal.
