Dr. Costa Returning to Imola?
by dean adams
Wednesday, February 10, 2010

There is speculation today that MotoGP and WSBK medical man, Dr. Costa, will be taking on an official role at the Imola racetrack in Italy.

The Costa family has been closely aligned with the Imola facility since it opened. Dr. Costa's father, Checo, is generally credited with starting the track.

Nothing has been formally announced, but if Costa does take an active and official role at Imola, further speculation has it that he will try to bring back the Imola 200 race. In the '80s, the Imola 200 was run using 500cc Grand Prix bikes.
