Dovi sabbatical

Dovi was pressuring Marc prior to Jorge's arrival.
I accept Jorge may have eventually been superior but sorry, I am not attributing much of Dovi's performance to input from Lorenzo.
This year they have dropped the ball, but I am attributing a fair bit of that to a big change in the rear Michelin. It simply hasn't worked with Dukes so well. You could argue Dovi has lost interest too given his perceived lack of support from Ducati.

Lorenzo arrived in 2017/end of 2016, Dovi finished 5th in 2016. Hardly pressuring Marc tbh.

A third, 2 seconds and a win in 2016.
Taken out by Ianonne whilst running second and Pedrosa also. He also suffered a mechanical failure. He didn't do so bad.
Ran second to Marquez in 17, 18 and 19.
As you say Jorge arrived at Ducati in 17 and was winless.
I am not able to credit Lorenzo with enabling Dovi to run second that season due to his bike development.
He was gone in 19.
Dovi is no slouch imo.

Oh I hope not. Dovi on the Honda that is.

Would seem better to use Bradl. Marc will certainly attempt to come back assuming the 6 months goes to plan. Or even another year in Repsol for other Marquez.
